Sometimes you dont realize when a filter needs to be replaced until you replace and notice the difference. Such was the case for me with my Miele Active Air filter for my Miele Cat and Dog vacuum. I had started to notice that there a little odor when I vacuumed, like dog dander... that I hadnt been noticing for a long time. Then I realized that I was overdue to change the Active Air filter - which uses charcoal as its active ingredient. I installed the new filter - which takes all of about 10 seconds (20 if you add in the time to toss the old one in the trash) - and when I turned on the vacuum I was instantly pleased by the smell of fresh clean air coming from the vacuum. Its that simple, and makes that much difference. Remember to change your filter yearly, and use the genuine Miele AAC-30 part! You invested in one of the best vacuums made.. keep it performing at its best.

Very easy to install and fits perfectly in my upright MIELE Jazz

product fit my vac but was not a true HEPA filter. HEPAs are made of folded paper as you well know. This was black plastic with holes in it. The interior appeared to be layers of different kinds of media. Will buy direct from MFG if possible next time. Would not recommend.

Purchased Miele AAC-30 Active Air filter for my Miele S344i vacuum cleaner. Filter was purchased to replace couple year old Miele Active Air filter. Ive used the Active Air Filter in the past (cheaper than the HEPA filter version) without any adverse allergy issues. Please note, we do not have pets. Miele AAC-30 Active Air filter fit my vacuum just fine and have used for over a month without any issues. Would recommend product. Amazon had the best deal with super saver shipping and no sales tax.

We didnt even know the vac had a filter. The Miele would stink every time we used it and we were mystified. Then discovered it had this filter. Replaced it and WALLA - it no longer stinks and it has much better suction. I probably read the directions when we got the Miele 5 years ago but I forgot about checking and replacing the filter!
