When I purchased the sweeper, no one said this filter needed replaced once a year. Thought my sweeper was needing repair - only needed this filter. Runs like new!

We didnt even know the vac had a filter. The Miele would stink every time we used it and we were mystified. Then discovered it had this filter. Replaced it and WALLA - it no longer stinks and it has much better suction. I probably read the directions when we got the Miele 5 years ago but I forgot about checking and replacing the filter!
