> 3 dayI would highly suggest this to anyone. I have a huge cage for my bird. I mean huge it’s 58 inches high and the bird without the stand and the light lights up the entire cage and it doesn’t get hot.

Greater than one weekThis has been great to give my macaw some full spectrum lighting. I have it plugged into a timer and my parrot has learned that when the light goes off at night, quiet time begins. I did use the fasteners that came with it in order to secure it to the cage, however, my parrot has not made any attempts to mess with it yet. Great product!

Greater than one weekI love these lights! I was unsure if I would like them so I only ordered one, when it came in I had to order the second one. The cords are protected and long, so they go from the top of the cage all the way to the bottom. I did tie it to the cage instead of using the metal clips it came with. We travel so I wanted to remove the lights and take when we travel. They must be used with a timer as there is no off and on switch. But for me it was no problem I already had timers from their old lights.

> 3 dayWe liked the lamp. It just stopped working - the first one about 9 months after we received it; the second one 6 months after we received. Its solid state LED so its a short - maybe a mfg design defect? Bummer - certainly wont buy a third.

> 3 dayI was a little skeptical of this light at its price, but after installing it, Id say its worth every penny. The lamp body is very well constructed and sturdy, and the metallic-sheathed cable is much more flexible than it might appear in the photos. My parakeets, while definitely fixated on destroying anything made of rope, wood, or yarn, are unlikely to be any threat to this device! I went through plant lights and aquarium lights, all unsatisfactory for one reason or another, before trying this one, with its bright (but not excessively), daylight-like, cheerful emissions. Nicely done, M&M.

Our ChewGuard PetLight comes with everything you need to safely install and power your lights, their own power supply, mounting hardware and stainless steel cable ties. Please note that the light does not have a power switch and must be connected to a common lamp timer so that your birds receive a consistent amount of light. LEDs are also suitable for humid environments and are safe from any liquid you might spray while cage cleaning.
Installation
M&M lights can be mounted both inside or on top of the cage by attaching them securely to the bars with the provided mounting brackets.
The power cord MUST be secured using the supplied stainless steel cable ties. Stronger beaks can bite into the stainless steel conduit if they can get their beak all the way around it. Also, dangling wires can be dangerous to your birds, be sure to secure them to the cage.
