My birds love the light. Today, woke up to one of the lights with the thinner power adapter, not working. Decided to investigate the power adapter, cracked it open to see that it is in fact fried and smells smoky and Im lucky it didnt burn the house down and that it didnt kill my birds with the smoke. I have these lights on a timer, as they suggest. For the price thats paid they need to put in a better power adapter, not some off brand junk thats going to cause a house fire. Note: Ive had these lights for a year on a timer.

After thorough research of the various types of light available, I decided on this one to replace an Arcadia which needed a new bulb. The Arcadia and similar lights promote that their bulbs produce UV-A and UV-B which they feel essential for indoor birds, however my own research leads me to believe that UV-B is a no-no and can cause eye damage. These LED lights produce no UV light so no harmful UV-B (and UV-A goes through glass so our parrot gets some as his cage is near a large window) and are otherwise full spectrum with a high Colour Rendering Index. It seems well made and well thought through in terms of design. I also bought the timer from the same company. The main thing is, the parrot loves it! He rarely used to sit under the Arcadia, whereas with this one, he will actually go back to his cage and sit under it. I also feel he is happier to be left in his cage in general since installing this light, seems it makes for a more relaxed and contented parrot! Highly recommended.

This light is so bright. It is so convenient that it is on top of the cage but on the outside so our bird cant get to it. We previously had a light outside the cage that got knocked over. I had to replace the bulb often. Highly recommend this light.

Perfect! Looks great. Fits my cage perfectly. I havent attached it but it came with tools to do so. I just sat it on top of my cage. The chew guards give me peice of mind that my birds wont get electricuted. I love that I dont have to worry about bath time and misting too.

We bought this light in December of 2019 because our birds feathers were not looking good. There was a noticeable difference in his mood and feather condition within the first month. Fast forward and the reason I am writing this is the OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE I received. A year and a half after purchasing this it started blinking so I messaged the seller on a Sunday of all days. They responded almost immediately and explained that it was the power supply. They explained that it’s sort of power supplies and if I would send my info they would send me a new one. Within days it arrived and the grumpy bird is in a good mood again. I did not expect this level of service from an Amazon purchase, THANK YOU!
