> 3 dayWhen I first put this on the cage Golem, my green cheeked conure, avoided the light like the plague. I kept telling him it was good for him & he should allow it to warm his feathers. Finally I put him back in his cage after a wintertime bath so he would be warmer with the light. He really did bask his cold wet feathers & after that he spent more & more time in the light. His feathers are luminous again and his entire demeanor has improved tremendously, though it wasnt bad to begin with. In other words he is even more loving than he was without the light. I highly recommend this light.

> 3 dayI bought 3 of these, 2 / 18” and a 24” with chew guard. As others said the U shape brackets could be a little longer, but I got them to work after bending the metal strap that mounts to the U brackets, took a while. I have A&E, HQ and California cages, fitted all 3 with brackets. All 3 birds seem to like it. Sun Conure and B/G Macaw colors got more bright and vivid, and calmer. The Amazon likes it, he is calmer too. I have the lights on a timer for 6 hours, 2 PM to 8 PM. 2 PM is chop time. All 3 lights are mounted on top and outside the cage.

> 3 dayI think this is an excellent Birdcage light I dont have very much light in the bedroom at night or during the day for my own convenience so having the light on in the Birdcage is good for the bird and good for me. I did not attach it in the cage I set it on top of the cage. The cage has a pull out drip pan on the top I pulled that out turned it upside down and put it back in so that reflects the light back into the cage. the one that I got seems to be well constructed it has an excellent chew guard on the cord I recommend this light thank you for your support

> 3 dayWe just got a baby cockatiel. Our breeder recommended a full spectrum cage light for her, to prevent hormone spikes and encourage healthy behavior on a set day/night schedule. Super easy to use. I think it does help her...I mean, who wants to sit in semi-darkness all day? So shes got light when shes in her cage(which is only for a couple hours a day...shes out and about mostly).

> 3 dayI wrote my 1st one star review about these lights December on 14, 2017. The lights are very hot, they heat up the whole room, my birds were able to chew them-so they were not safe for the birds. This time the power supply provided with the light fried my socket, I needed to know what was going on with these lights. Mark said he would help me if I remove my negative comment from Amazon, However customer service has not responded. I’m happy my house did not burn.

> 3 dayI bought this light for my 15 month old male cockatiel and I absolutely love it! My house can get pretty dark on dreary days and I was concerned my feather baby wasn’t getting enough light on cloudy days. I bought this to ensure he always has enough light and it works great! I bought the largest sized one and the amount of light it gives off is perfect! I do have one qualm with the product though...THERE’S NO STINKING ON/OFF SWITCH!!! I understand that they market this light to be used with a timer, but why can’t it also be designed to be turned on/off with a simple switch!? Not including an on/off switch is such a design fail that I simply can’t give the light a full 5 stars because of it! I did buy a timer to use with the light and it works great with it, but still I’d like to be able to control it with a switch because life doesn’t run on a perfectly constant schedule. It’s just so dumb... When looking into buying this I saw a lot of people who complained about the cord. I personally haven’t had any issues with the cord yet, but then again I’m choosing to use it with a timer. I can however see how someone who doesn’t use a timer may have a problem with the cord breaking from overuse. So if you get this do yourself a favor and get a timer! All in all, if you’re needing a light for your birds cage this one is awesome! It’s sturdy and actually has a guard so your bird can’t chew into the electronics, but keep in mind it’s not perfect. If you don’t mind that this light has no on/off switch then you’ll be more than happy with your purchase. I’m definitely annoyed with that one detail, but I still love this light and am overall happy with it.

> 3 dayThis has been great to give my macaw some full spectrum lighting. I have it plugged into a timer and my parrot has learned that when the light goes off at night, quiet time begins. I did use the fasteners that came with it in order to secure it to the cage, however, my parrot has not made any attempts to mess with it yet. Great product!
