> 3 dayI bought these for an alternative use to child protection. I needed caps to cover outdoor extension cords and Christmas lights to protect from the elements. My lights were always tripping outlets whenever snow melted or there was a heavy rain. These worked perfect for protecting the open ends of Christmas lights and extension cords.

> 3 dayKids may figure out how to remove if not a tight fit in older outlets, but otherwise a good product

> 3 daySo far, so good! These work as intended and are difficult to remove. The only thing that would alter my opinion on these plugs would be how long they take to dry rot. Our homes previous owners had small children as well and had left the plugs in the outlets. When we moved in we went to remove both the plug and the outlet covers and we discovered that the child safe outlet plugs had dry rotted in the socket and couldnt be removed, when you tried the other flat piece would come off leaving the two smaller pieces stuck in the outlet. We ended up replacing every single outlet that they had left those plugs in, the plastic had rotted so much that when you tried to pull the plastic out it just crumbled. I have no idea how many years they had left them in the sockets, but it was a drag having to replace all those outlets. Heres hoping these dont do something similar.

> 3 daydo you want to cover up all of your plugs so that nobody sticks a hairpin in them? Or a paperclip? Or a small screwdriver? Or even small meals? Then these. These are what you need. These will work perfectly. Because these cover up plugs. And you can push them in. And theyre easy to remove because you pull them out. But not too easy to remove it takes a little tug. And that keeps the kid from putting in something that will burn his hand. And we like that.

> 3 dayI looked through many on Amazon before deciding to try these out. Im a musician and I bought these to keep my unused power strip outlets and unused wall outlets protected from dirt and moisture. Im very pleased with my choice. Functionality - Very Good Price - Very Good

> 3 dayIf you have newer outlets then this will be a squeeze. These things will fit in rather tight which I understand you want that, but I think it is a bit more than it should. I have a couple other brands throughout the house and now that my 15 mo old is up and about, I needed to seal off most in the house. This is certainly the tightest fitting for newer outlets compared to Safety First and I forgot the other but they sell it in Buy Buy Baby. I would say these would be perfect for outlets that have been worn in or older. Think of it this way: if most or all the stuff you plugged into your target outlet have been loose or super easy to pull out, then get these. But if your outlets are new or the prongs hold in tightly, then I would go for the ones in Buy Buy Baby or Safety first. I used these for outlets I barely use and those that pose the most danger to my baby...otherwise, I use the others since they dont require a plastic knife or something to pry out. Id say if you have critical areas when you know you wont use frequently but the baby tends to find those outlets, then use these otherwise, have another brand handy in case you need to still have access to the outlet without using something to pry it off.

04-04-2025My daughter is 8 months old and very active and getting into everything. She recently noticed the outlet on the wall and became obsessed with it so I knew it was time to cover those bad boys up. There is nothing overly special about these outlet covers, they are very basic. I do like that they are clear and they are difficult to get out. I mean if they were easy they wouldnt be doing their job. I have found if I use the prong from the vacuum I can get it out easier. I will keep my post updated as she gets older and her dexterity and strength improve and she can start removing them.

Greater than one weekFor the price you cant really go wrong with these outlet plugs. They are extremely easy to install. It seems from reading these reviews the fit varies wildly --- cant either be extremely hard to get it out or easy, or something in between. For me, these plugs are somewhat difficult to get out but i can still do it without the aid of a tool other than my hands/fingernails. For now, while my daughter is still very young, these will work but as she gets older I imagine she will be able to figure out how to pull these out. Hopefully by then she will have lost interest in outlets (one can hope, right?) If you find yours is very hard to get out, I recommend buying a few of these to keep around the house:

> 3 dayThese are a must-have for inquisitive babies. I ordered enough for every room of my house. I like that they’re clear and blend well but safe enough to deter baby and prevent anything from going inside. So far no discoloring. When I used other brands with my older son they were less clear, more eggshell and baby was still curious. I like these better

> 3 dayI got these to baby proof my outlets and they seem to be working fine. The kids will still try to pull them out but their hands arent strong enough yet. I tried and almost pulled out a nail. I think the kids are getting stronger and will eventually take them out. Hopefully by then they will know that electricity can kill and wont stick anything in the outlet. Day 26: Babies have seen me take these out and wait until I leave and disconnect my charger. I think I have to move my charger. Babies are adapting and overcoming all obstacles.
