> 3 dayWe purchased this gate in 2020. This gate is a freaking tank! It survived a move, being tossed by a EMT, tacked by a German Shepherd, and a toddler! This gate is so sturdy that when the EMT ripped it out of the way and threw it. The gate hit our dishwasher and broke the dishwasher panel. But the gate is just fine!! I couldn’t recommend this gate enough! We just bought a second one.

> 3 dayTl;dr: amazing door, doesn’t withstand the abuse of 4-7 year olds. My wife and I agree that the cambor baby gate is by far the best we’ve purchased of the three gates we’ve purchased in the last 5 years. We have a 6 year old and a 1 year old. The gate has a spring loaded swivel point so that it will swing closed after walking through it as long as you don’t swing it full open. You also need to slightly lift the door when opening it to get it out of the stability catches. These are all features that make the door great. However, they’re difficult design points when you have a 6 year old that will handle any object with the strength of Thor minus his finesse. Over time the swivel joint is the weak spot and it couldn’t take the abuse. Edit: updated to 5 stars based on their product support and warranty replacement.

> 3 dayI easily set up this gate in the kitchen doorway in under 15 minutes. Its a 1 person job. I really like the auto-close feature of the gate. I highly recommend.

Greater than one weekWould definitely buy another from the same vendor. Excellent service, easy to install, what more could ask for.

Greater than one weekWhen first installing these gates, it was quite difficult to do. The threaded stems attached to circular plates to go into each of the fours corners were quite difficult. Especially when you dont want to mount (with holes) into your door ways. I realized that the problem is when tightening these treaded stems at each corner which has tight holes but without threads. What I recommend is to buy additonal M10-1.5 hex nuts (qty=4) so that each steam has two nuts. Tighten one nut against the cirular plate on each end to solve the problem of gripping the end from turning as you tighten the 2nd nut towards each corner of the gate. The streaded stem is long enough to be stable and be firm after the installation. The purpose is to stablize the gap between the gate and the doorway. No holes in the wall and the gate is rock hard in place. Problem solved.

> 3 dayThis gate is well made overall and serves its purpose just. For me, the purpose was to keep some rooms off limits from our new dog. The issue I have is that I bought two within about a month of each other. As you can see from the photos I attached, one handle has an angle to it whereas the other is more square. The version with the angled handle shuts and opens far more smoothly. I frequently find myself fumbling with the latch of the square version to ensure it is fully latched. Obviously, this is not ideal. The version with the square latch was the second one I received, but I cannot tell if it is an older or newer design. It is certainly the inferior version and had I received it first, wouldnt have bought it again. Overall, the version with the angled handle is 5 star and the square handle is a 2-3 star item at best, especially given the price. I didnt return it only because my application is not as critical as keeping a toddler from falling down a flight of stairs.
