I purchased two of these gates to close off the entrances to the living room, predominately to keep our dogs out. I faced the instructions with a little in trepidation as the instructions were not completely clear, not clearly presenting the last steps of installation. I had help with the first one more for a sanity backup than anything else. It installed easily and is very sturdy. The second I was able to install completely on my own. Im very pleased with the gates.

Needed this for when we run out to keep our pup from getting into things very sturdy and strong the auto close is a must

This is a sturdy product which is easy to assemble and worth the price

Might be ok for a smaller opening. Did not work on a wide stairway. The bolts that are supposed to use pressure to stay in place moved freely in the holes.

I tried the no hardware option first (comes with hardware if needed) because I really didn’t want holes in the wall. If I didn’t feel it was safe enough though, I would have drilled the holes. But my husband and I agree it’s sturdy enough to keep our 2 year old in and safe on the 2nd floor of our home! It’s been on for 2 weeks now with us opening and closing the door and it’s still in it’s same place (I’ve been checking constantly). It will only budge if I bend my knees and push all my body weight on it, and by budging, it will veeeery slowly slide. We keep a close eye on our toddler regardless and do not let her stand on the bars or pull on it. I feel confident this gate is going to work perfect for the amount of years we will need it for. TIP - if you tighten up the top bar too tight, the door is will not open or shut like it’s suppose to. I had to loosen the top a little more than I wanted and the top is the only part that slides (with all my weight on it). I refused to go too loose on it (seriously was fighting for the no holes!) so the door opens and shut but will only shut when we put a little more pressure on it. If I loosen the bars more, then the “90 degree feature” will work. But that feature does not work perfectly with the tightness I have on it now unless we slam it shut. It’s working well so far for us. Not a burden. The bottoms bars though! You can tighten those up as hard as you want! Those bars are not sliding anywhere!

Excellent design, qood quality and well worth the money. The design enables them to accomodate various wall scenarios, baseboard, stair railing, doorways, etc. I purchased 4 of them and they work great.

This was easy to install and versatile for a number of settings. We found overtime though that the gate began misaligning due to heavy use. Would recommend only for low traffic areas, this did it work well on the long term for ours which sees usage 10-20 times a day.
