There is a botton on the top you are supposed to slide over to open. That button is useless we just lift the gate to open it. Isnt the strongest if a grown human were to walk into it to fast im 95%sure it would break. Works for what we need though.

I like the product but there were only 2 extensions so it is too short. Trying to contact someone to get another extension.

I easily set up this gate in the kitchen doorway in under 15 minutes. Its a 1 person job. I really like the auto-close feature of the gate. I highly recommend.

We have a wide hallway, and this is perfect for keeping the dogs out of the kids area! And keeping the kids in! The gate walk through is big enough for my big butt to get through too!! Highly recommend!

So I purchased 2 of these gates and they are awesome! I do have a minor (sort of) complaint - I put one at the top of our stairway and the bottom of the gate has a bar that makes me feel uneasy when walking downstairs...I feel like I am going to trip on it. That is the only negative and not really a negative because I know they make stair specific gates that dont have a bottom bar... I just didnt realize thats what I needed (new parent things). If you need this for your staircase...I would get something without the bottom bar so that you dont have anything you need to step over when going downstairs with your kids. Other than this, awesome and sturdy gates.

Firstly, my wife and I are thrilled with this gate because it met our needs and more! Im always very skeptical of any product made in China simply because of being overpriced as well as poor quality. Well, surprise, surprise, this had to be (and was) the exception. The package arrived a day early and looked beaten up thanks to UPS. However, nothing was damaged and all the parts were included. The installation instructions were clear and precise and the video on the vendors site was very helpful. That said, my wife (bless her heart), is by her own admission not a very handy person when it comes to assembly and thats why she has me! Image my astonishment when she INSISTED on installing the gate herself.......... with me monitoring. Well, having read the instructions and watched the video she performed this project from start to finish with no assistance from me! In our case we used all three extensions but still needed to fill in some gaps because our opening was a little wider. No problem. I milled some fill-in pieces of lumber and that resolved the issue. The look of satisfaction on her face after she finished was memorable! The gate is sturdy and perfect for our needs! The only downside was her breaking a fingernail during the installation process so since she blamed me for it (go figure), it will cost me $35 to have all ten fingers redone at the local Claws on Paws. That said, FIVE STARS and more for this product!

I found this product challenging to install (we are using tension and not screws to hold it in place). Our dogs have knocked it off once and it’s challenging to reinstall and get right. It does the job but only if our dogs don’t really test it.

Exactly what we were looking for to keep the puppy in an area. Sturdy, easy to assemble and looks great.
