If you are looking for a sturdy, easy to install and is user friendly get this gate

Excellent design, qood quality and well worth the money. The design enables them to accomodate various wall scenarios, baseboard, stair railing, doorways, etc. I purchased 4 of them and they work great.

So I got this for cats not kids. I have a wide stair case, around 51 inches, that I needed to block my car from getting up. It works great for my purpose. I did watch YouTube videos for how to install since it is a bit confusing. I also bought some rubber wall holders based on sims people mentioned some paint damage. Haven’t moved to looked at out since installation, but is holding well for us and keeping the cats out of an area needed. I also spent Bit more on this one so I could get black to match our railing instead of everything else seemingly being white, that made the transition of having to put one of these in better because it doesn’t stand out as much.

When first installing these gates, it was quite difficult to do. The threaded stems attached to circular plates to go into each of the fours corners were quite difficult. Especially when you dont want to mount (with holes) into your door ways. I realized that the problem is when tightening these treaded stems at each corner which has tight holes but without threads. What I recommend is to buy additonal M10-1.5 hex nuts (qty=4) so that each steam has two nuts. Tighten one nut against the cirular plate on each end to solve the problem of gripping the end from turning as you tighten the 2nd nut towards each corner of the gate. The streaded stem is long enough to be stable and be firm after the installation. The purpose is to stablize the gap between the gate and the doorway. No holes in the wall and the gate is rock hard in place. Problem solved.

I purchased this baby gate for my 7 lb. miniature poodle! Shes quite the escape artist at such a tiny size! She can get up and over most every other type of kiddie gate because they either had horizontal or diagonal parts that she could use for leverage! This kiddie gate works because all of the pieces are vertical! She has tried to hurdle this 32 high kiddie gate, but cant make it! I would recommend it for children or dogs! It is well made, heavy duty and stable.

This was easy to install and it keeps the kiddo out of areas the should remain kiddo free and in the areas that are childproof in my home. What more can I want? I do like that it is somewhat customizable, in that it has panels you can place to adjust how far right or left the door is. Handy for french doors.
