> 3 dayOverall, this gate works well in keeping our Boxer/Great Dane from pushing his way up the stairs when he gets scared by thunderstorms. It was a bit cumbersome installing (a 2-person job), but once we had the 4 tension points set up & aligned correctly, it came together nicely. The alignment is important so the gate door will fully close (top & bottom). This metal gate seems sturdy. One concern is the amount of tension needed, puts a lot of pressure on the wall & on the banister pole. Have had it for 2 wks; so far so good.

> 3 dayWe wanted something that looked nice, while not drilling any holes (although you have that option). This fit perfectly (we had to take one extension out). I love that the bolts adjust and holds steady on the walls. This does the trick for keep our dogs from going downstairs. The access door is easy to open and close. I recommend 100%!

> 3 dayBought this for our puppy and placed it in the wide hallway between our kitchen and living room. Perfect fit. She’s not much of a jumper but it has been quite sturdy when other dogs are visiting and they bump into it while wrestling. I’ve also walked right into it a few times while carrying items that didn’t fit through the open gate. Hasn’t budged a bit and I particularly like that it swings shut on it’s own! It’s also just low enough that I can hop over it without having to open the gate (I’m 5’2) which makes it convenient. It does need readjusting over time as the poles become loose. I’m taking away one star because we took it off for the first time in 3 months and it took part of our wall with it, as has been the case with most baby gates that Ive used long term. I’m going to repaint the wall before re-installing it again. This is useful even for a non-puppy and will be useful again when there are children in the house.

> 3 dayThis is such a sturdy gate and the functionality is top notch. I love that I can make it stay open if I want, its great for in the morning when Im carrying her from my room to outside. (We leave it open all night) And then in all other cases it closes automatically. That has saved us quite a few puppy chases lol.

> 3 daySo I got this for cats not kids. I have a wide stair case, around 51 inches, that I needed to block my car from getting up. It works great for my purpose. I did watch YouTube videos for how to install since it is a bit confusing. I also bought some rubber wall holders based on sims people mentioned some paint damage. Haven’t moved to looked at out since installation, but is holding well for us and keeping the cats out of an area needed. I also spent Bit more on this one so I could get black to match our railing instead of everything else seemingly being white, that made the transition of having to put one of these in better because it doesn’t stand out as much.

> 3 dayTl;dr: amazing door, doesn’t withstand the abuse of 4-7 year olds. My wife and I agree that the cambor baby gate is by far the best we’ve purchased of the three gates we’ve purchased in the last 5 years. We have a 6 year old and a 1 year old. The gate has a spring loaded swivel point so that it will swing closed after walking through it as long as you don’t swing it full open. You also need to slightly lift the door when opening it to get it out of the stability catches. These are all features that make the door great. However, they’re difficult design points when you have a 6 year old that will handle any object with the strength of Thor minus his finesse. Over time the swivel joint is the weak spot and it couldn’t take the abuse. Edit: updated to 5 stars based on their product support and warranty replacement.

Hi
> 3 dayWe ended up buying two of these gates (one to block off the foyer area and another one for the kitchen area). I was concerned about the stability of the gates since we needed to swap the extension pieces due to the width of our entryway openings. Thankfully it worked out well! We used two of the 11” extensions (one on each side) of a gate and it works! Part “D” as labeled in their image is the 11 inches extension in case this might help someone else. 2 of the 11” extension with a door in between is able to hold up well to a 25 lbs toddler hanging and pulling herself back and forth like a monkey! Haha. Highly recommend this gate because it also enables us to use our feet to lift the gate up and open it while we’re carrying a sleeping baby. Thank you for the awesome gates!
