NAR6595A NAR6595 Motorola Original APX 764-870 MHz Single-Band GPS Stubby Antenna

I had the standard length antenna on my duty belt radio. After getting the antenna tangled in the seat belt of my vehicle multiple times, I knew I needed this short antenna. The quality is amazing. Many of my colleagues use the standard (longer) antenna. I get better radio reception with this shorter antenna, especially in the emergency room of my local hospital, that happens to be partially underground.

I haven’t noticed any decrease in reception since putting this on from the long antenna the radio came with. This is a must with my new uniform with the radio being mounted up higher.

Has held up fine and works well. No signal problems. Was a little more expensive due to it being gps model, but I wouldn’t risk getting one that wasn’t and not having it work correctly.

Radio antenna works on the radio I have. Much nicer than the 8 inch standard antenna. However, I have ordered 3 antennas as they all break off VERY easily. Either it being stripping the inside, bending, etc the antenna came off several times and broke on the slightest contact with something. Seller was not willing to replace EVERY time I made a claim even within the allocated time of purchase. Made the smart choice and purchased one from a different seller.

Better than the long antenna that was issued. I have to tighten the antenna daily though.

Works great on my Motorola PSEC radio without the extra length of the stock antenna

I’m writing this review in 2022 and purchased the antenna in 2018. Since then I have had NO issues with connectivity or range. I know some people are skeptical because of the length of the antenna but using this within our 16.5 sq mile city this antenna works fine (unsure if you’re using it for a larger land coverage). It’s also just helpful not to have the long antenna which the Motorolas normally come standard with, which get stuck in gear or even clothing.

Great signal. Perfect fit. No more picking my nose or poking my armpit.

Great size, however the screw insert to my radio broke in less than two weeks use.

Great antenna for members of the blue fam. Low profile on an outer carrier vest if thats where you have your radio. Solid construction, official Motorola, item, works with APX6000 w/o any issues. Have noticed the occasional case of bad reception, which is common and expected with a stubby radio antenna (longer antennas give gain, this obviously does not provide that and is to cut down on profile/size of the stock antenna).
