Works well on my radio and I have not seen much difference in range. I have my radio in the front of my raid vest and the old one used to get in the way.

Definitely worth buying. My old one would go into my armpit all the time, this one gets great signal still and doesnt get in the way

Works just like the normal long antenna for my APX8000. Looks better since its shorter and doesnt get caught up on my gear. Its worth it for now, but Im hearing if they switch to digital, this antenna will not work. I will have to wait and see if and when that happens.

Radio antenna works on the radio I have. Much nicer than the 8 inch standard antenna. However, I have ordered 3 antennas as they all break off VERY easily. Either it being stripping the inside, bending, etc the antenna came off several times and broke on the slightest contact with something. Seller was not willing to replace EVERY time I made a claim even within the allocated time of purchase. Made the smart choice and purchased one from a different seller.

Its an antenna and does what it should. Works just as good as the giant one that came on the radio. No transmission issues.
