it gets good signal, and it doesnt stab my neck, because i have a chest mounted rigger unit. very good, i would trust Motorola with ANYTHING RADIO!!!!!! I now want the motorola all band Long antenna or portable radios. Its frickin great.

Perfect replacement for that ridiculously long antenna that came with the 8000. I’m sure I’m breaking some sort of dept policy by replacing the old one, but whatever. At least now I don’t look like a WW2 radio operator or Boba Fett. No loss in signal or coverage. I just made the nerdy tech guys mad at me, but it works just fine.
