Very pleased with this purchase. Seems to me to pick up just as good as the standard antenna.

A much better option than the long antennae on the Motorola handheld radio. Thumbs up!

So much better than the full size antenna with no radio signal strength compromise.

I used this antenna for 30 minutes and had to go back to my regular antenna. I didn’t get any reception, inside or outside. I couldn’t communicate with our dispatchers, they couldn’t hear me and I couldn’t hear them. The signal was in and out. This antenna poses a huge officer safety risk. I would never recommend this for any type of law enforcement officer.

Works as advertised. I have not noticed a significant receiving/transmitting difference between this one and the longer original antenna.

Excellent replacement for the factory normal size antenna. Absolutely zero reception lost, and I’m not getting jabbed with the long antenna anymore.

The stubby antenna is a lot better than the longer antenna. No more annoying poking under the armpit.

Does this work? Absolutely Yes. Are you going to have a diminished range? Yes, but that is to be expected on any antenna application where you are making it shorter. I notice ZERO difference in my day to day work as a LEO. I even tested it and went to the locations where I know the reception would be bad I.E. underground garages, concrete buildings etc. It still performed perfectly.
