I bought this at the suggestion of my PT friend when I was early in my second trimester. My torso is short so I popped early and my back was constantly in pain. I walked daily and taught yoga and dance classes but had to reduce/stop them because of the pain. Even just standing to do laundry or the dishes or at my computer for work put a strain on my back. After getting this belt, I was able to be mobile again! I can go on hikes, teach my classes, do household chores, etc without being in tons of pain. Highly recommend. I’m 5’6” and pre-pregnancy was 140 lbs and bought the medium. My only comment is to use it during physical activity because I do sometimes find it constraining (maybe a larger size would’ve helped it be more of a constant thing). But for me it works great to wear during activity and then take it off when I’m relaxing. Definitely get one! Back pain is not worth it!

I am 7 months pregnant now (2/25/18). I have been struggling with severe lower left sided back pain since November 2017; extremely early in pregnancy. It was at the point where I couldnt stand for more than 30 minutes (previously I had been biking 10 miles a day so I never had back problems or pain). It progressed to the point where I couldnt stand for more than 10 minutes without feeling as though I was being stabbed repeatedly in my left lower back. Sitting was the only thing that relieved the pain. I dont have to stand much at work luckily, but when I did it was excruciating. I also have to stand on the train on my commute home for about 30 minutes. I didnt know how I would continue working. After I was worked up for everything from muscle strain to kidney stones with negative results a friend recommended a support belt. I found this one on amazon that got great reviews. I was skeptical because I didnt think anything could take away the pain. It does! Its amazing. Its a little cumbersome to put on at first. It has three parts. The belly band, the back band that attaches to the belly band via velcro and the band across the upper abdomen that attaches to the back band via velcro. It completely takes away my lower back pain and some abdominal pain Im having as my belly gets bigger. I wear it for 12 hours a day during work days. The only thing I have to do is adjust it during the day as it will ride up a bit when sitting. I also recommend, if you are planning on wearing it under your shirt like most people probably do at work, is to wear it over a tank top or under shirt as the edges can rub against the skin sometimes and be a little irritating (though it could be I did not have it velcrod well. I was 155lbs 54 pre pregnancy. The recommended size for me was a medium, but based on measurements could have also measured a large (I was in between). I decided to go with the large just in case and it fits perfectly. It fit well when I purchased it a couple months ago and it still fits perfectly with room for the next 2 months. So happy with this purchase!

This band definitely takes the strain off my eight-months-pregnant belly, which is great. *However,* I wish that it had some light plastic vertical reinforcement where the ribbing is around the back, because as soon as I start moving around, the top wants to roll down. It gets annoying having to stop every few steps and readjust. I’ve tried loosening and tightening it, but that doesn’t make any difference. The back braces from home improvement stores have the plastic supports built in, but they aren’t great for wrapping *under* the belly. When I saw the vertical bands on the photos of this, I was hoping they were stiff enough to prevent the rolling issue in the back while still actually supporting the belly in the front. Could be a five star product if the structure were improved.

I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and work full time as a surgical technologist in the operating room. I’ve tried a few different belly bands to help with the back pain I’d experience in my shift and none of them compare to this one. I highly recommend anyone buying this! You won’t be disappointed :)

I never write reviews, and theres already over 3000 steller reviews for this belt. So why bother? Because you need to buy it. No really. Its that good. Im 32 weeks into an averagely uncomfortable pregnancy thus far, but started having really bad back and pelvic pain the last couple of weeks. Getting up and down at work was getting hard to manage. Walking the dog hurt like hell. I waddled in pain everywhere I went. I bought this, hoping it might help a little and didnt plan on wearing it all the time. BUT OMG GUYS. I wore it to work and while walking the dog a couple days, then went without it in the same situations (you know, for the sake of science). When I wear it, I can go an entire shift without my back seizing up, my pelvis feeling like a loose sack of glass shards, or waddling slowly in pain. I just feel normal. It helps far more than I anticipated. I walked my dog for HALF AN HOUR without pain, rather than two blocks. So. Excited. Upsides, besides making you feel like your 20 week self again: 1) Its smoother under clothes than I anticipated, and I wear fitted maternity shirts. 2) Comfortable material - I wear over the belly pants but the back part is on my skin, hasnt rubbed or been a problem. 3) Doesnt slip - I wear it without the over-belly band and it stays in place. Couple of downsides that just arent a deal, but Ill mention anyway. 1) Have to take it off to pee. Which is often. I just take the back portion off and hike the belly band up to my boobs and do my business, then reassemble. Not too difficult. 2) I read the instructions and still dont understand the extra Velcro thing. But the band fits perfectly after measuring the way they say before ordering, so whatever. 3) Takes a bit of trial and error to get it positioned well the first time, but once you do, you wont even notice youre wearing it. Other than not being in pain, that is. Tl;dr : If youre pregnant with back and/or pelvic pain, take your measurements and buy this.

Really great product for what it does. But the velcro and the stitching is not durable. After continued use the velcro does adhere very well. And the stitching is coming apart.

I used this from when I started showing all the way up until I gave birth . With out this brace I walked so slow and after a while I’d have to bend forward from all the weight of my baby , even to stand straight . When I had this on I was able to stand up straight and walk for longer periods of time .

Trying to put three parts together every morning is a hassle. I wish it was easier to put on. It helps my back a little not much.

I been having really bad back pain. I wear this when I plan on walking or being active around the house. It helps belly and back feel really supported, but can be a little uncomfortable after a while. But overall it was a good purchase
