> 24 hourMy family loves this Super Mario Bros game. I purchased it back in 2014. I played nintendo Super Marios growing up, so when I saw this, I bought for more kids, when I knew that I myself wanted to play this game. I love playing it with my kids. We have four Wii remotes, so I can play with my three kids (ages 14,12, and 9). We have playing it off and on for the last two years. We have solved it, but yet they still continue to play it. When they have friends over, this is the game that the play with most on the Wii. Sometimes they argue (you took my mushroom, you took my flower, etc), but overall we all have fun and work together to search for the coins and pass each world. If you ever played Mario brothers growing up, then you will defiantly want to give this game a try.

> 24 hourFun game. Good for adults and kids. Totally age appropriate for anyone that can pick it up and play it. Thing is, it isnt so childish that its boring for adults. Its literally fun for everyone. Be aware, it has some big differences from the same title for the Wii, as an example. That isnt good or bad, just something to note.

> 24 hourSo far, havent found anything about this game I dislike. This game was purchased for my son on his Nintendo 2ds platform. Its a great take on the Mario game while remaining reminiscent of the original Super Mario Bros., but with many improvements. My five year old son was amazed that his father knew how to play it, which made me chuckle a bit. The levels do a good job of getting more challenging as you go and all the little additions to the game are great! The giant Mario mushroom is my sons favorite, allowing Mario to grow to enormous size and squash the mushrooms and Koopas and kick the warp tunnels out of the way. Nintendo had a smash hit with this game when it was introduced all those years ago, and with every iteration reinvents it enough to make it a hit with another generation of kids. Great job guys, the whole family loves the game.

> 24 hourThis is a well made game. Its not as good as Super Mario 3 on the original NES, but it plays kind of similarly Im not really used to hand-held gaming, but I suppose Ill get used to it. The game only offers two different button configurations, and neither of them is the one I would prefer. Me, I have a little trouble with the game because I only get to play pretty rarely, but it is fun and most players will have a good time I think. It is far superior to some other games for the ds/3ds because of its gameplay mechanics and whatnot. Other side-scrollers should strive for this level of playability.

> 24 hourAfter getting addicted to New Super Mario Bros for Wii, I was excited to see it available for my DS and hoped it would match up for on the go Mario. It does! It is lots of addictive fun and very much like the Wii game with a few minor changes. Still has similar worlds to conquer and a few fun differences like when you get a giant Mario who can take care of everything. If you like Mario Bros...and you liked the NEW one on Wii, you will love this!

> 24 hourFirst let me explain that this isnt a remake of the original Super Mario Bros. Instead, its a try into revitalizing the once great Super Mario Bros. series. This game is influenced by Super Mario Bros. with the each stages gameplay and finish pole. Its influenced by Super Mario Bros. 3 with its map layout of each world, along with its toad houses and hammer dudes walking around. Its influenced by Super Mario World with some stages backgrounds and gameplay elements including the climbing on the fences. The graphics for this game are very nice. All the characters are rendered in 3d as well as some of the backgrounds. They blend nicely together. No complaints. Mario and Luigi look different from each other this time around. Just as they should. I didnt pay too much attention to sound, but one thing that did annoy me was what Mario said after finishing each level. Well.. what is sounded like he said was, Thank you so nice! which is irritating to hear so many times. The english is so bad, that its unbearable. Now onto the lackluster part. The gameplay. The game is easy. Not only that, but they provide you with a crap load of power ups beyond the ones in the stages, making it even easier. If that werent enough, they also keep 2 out of the 8 worlds as an unlockable secret. But wait, if youre lucky enough, you might also accidentally discover a way to only do 3 worlds before getting to world 8. So, chop the game in less than half and thats its length. And youre done. Its way too easy and it seems like they dont even want you to play through the game. And then on top of that, theres a lackluster ending. Is there any motivation to complete the other worlds? No! The levels arent even challenging. I had 50 lives after 3 worlds. Nintendo knows how non-challenging the game is. Thats why you cant save when you want, just every time you complete a castle or spend star-coins. And thats annoying. So much for a pick up and play game. To spice things up, each stage has 3 stars-coins to collect, some of which require some thinking, but most are easy. And what do they do, give you powerups to make the game even easier. You dont have to collect the stars, its pointless. You could collect them only for collectings sake. There are also red coins to collect. They give you powerups as well for collecting them within the given time limit. It cant get any easier. This game features 3 power ups not included in any other mario game. First you can grow to super size. They give you this way too often and what does this do, it gives you up to 5 lives, the amount depending on how much destruction you cause. Save those for levels filled with bricks its easy lives. The 2 other power-ups are worthless. One that makes you really tiny, useless against enemies makes this one just for finding secrets. The problem is that they almost never give this power-up to you in the level where the secrets are at. So youll have to go find one where there is and play that level to get it. This becomes quickly annoying. The other powerup gives you a turtle shell so you can slide like a turtleshell against enemies. Since the flower is much easier to play with, this powerup goes to help acquire secrets in stages that, also dont provide the powerup. Fetch it boy. This ones rare. Super annoying. The castle boss battles are also easy. If you get to the boss with fire powerup, which is super easy to do, since you can always carry a spare poweup with you, that you cant lose by dying, and call upon it whenever you need it, the boss becomes very little of a challenge. Even the final boss battle at the end of the game was easy. Sometimes all you need is super mario so that you dont die crossing the bridge to the other side to drop the bridge. The mini games are recycled from Super Mario 64 DS and so is the multiplayer from every other mario game. So this should last you a bit (sarcasm). Great extras Nintendo! (more sarcasm). It would have been nice if you included the original super mario bros as a nice extra. But what am I thinking, that wouldve been a good idea. VERDICT This game is Disappointing. Its short and easy. It seemed nice in the first world, until it got too repetitive and easy. If you want to play a Mario game better than this, go play super mario advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3. The game looks, feels, sounds, and breathes like a super mario game. In fact, the game is fun to play, but its flaws are too much for me and thats why I wouldnt buy it. Otherwise it would be a great game. You know its easier to find the secret to skipping the game than it is to find the secret to unlock the hidden 1/4. Doesnt that suck.

> 24 hourIve been a big fan of Mario games since the original, and this fully lived up to expectations! In fact, it includes several subtle elements from the original Super Mario Bros. for us nostalgia freaks, but theres plenty of brand new stuff too. It follows the usual Mario pattern--survive through eight threatening worlds to save the princess--but the graphics and gameplay are refreshing and challenging. The mini-games are good fun too. The only downside is only being able to save your game after castles, it would be nice to be able to save it at any time throughout the game.
