I got this projector to have movie and family slide nights outside on summer evenings with the kids. This projector has many input options so I like it being compatible with any of several devices/methods. I used a thumb drive for a trial. Used front projection indoor on a smooth white wall. Brightness and picture quality were excellent ! Outdoor, started using it on a taught bed sheet with back projection. The “picture reversing” setting option for back projection worked perfectly. Of course the bed sheet didn’t do the projector’s picture justice in the test. Nevertheless, the picture was nice and bright. Also picture size is about the size of the pictured sheet at the distance shown in the picture which works well (particular slide shown had a smaller picture size). I am proceeding to get a good outdoor screen (for front/back projection). I tried to use the remote (the necessary interface) from the screen front with the projector behind the bed-sheet - did not work consistently. Changing projector settings and media files during back projection is important with the user sitting in front of the screen. I am hoping remote works with back projection better through a front/back projection designed screen. Front screen projection worked well for some family slides and a video (albeit using a bed sheet). The adjustments for projector-screen setup were mostly complete. A post from the projector bottom facilitates picture up-down adjustment. Also it has knob adjustment for squaring sides of the picture (vertical keystone) when the projector is at a higher or lower height than the middle of the screen (is usually the case). An added adjustment to make the picture top/bottom level when the projector is sitting on an ad-hoc un-level base especially in outdoor setup would help. An auto-ID of media type would help to see all compatible files available and not have to switch between picture/movie modes with mixed media. I am encouraged and excited about using it many summer nights !

I have always wanted to get a projector for myself, but this is the first time I actually tried to use one and set it up on my own! I am not extremely familiar with using a projector, but I did find the set up for this to not be too hard. It was pretty beginner-friendly as long as you have some basic experience with computers. I took this projector on a trip where I stayed at an Airbnb. I found a empty flat wall and decided to set up and see how it worked for the first time. Set up was not too hard. I just had to use the level underneath the projector to get the right angle for the picture. I had to adjust it a little so that the picture would be clear. I really thought the picture was quite nice. The colors were vibrant and sharp. The picture was very bright and clear. It looked very high definition. The projector is not very heavy, and does not have a lot of parts to it so it is easy to travel with which I thought was nice when I took it to go out of town on my trip. Considering how lightweight it is it feels pretty sturdy and well constructed. My favorite part about this projector that it has a remote controller so you can control a lot of the features without getting up and walking to the projector. I also really like that it was Bluetooth compatible. It has a very clear picture and was pretty user-friendly. I am overall very pleased with this projector and I plan to use it a lot especially when I go on trips out of town or even camping. I would definitely recommend this projector to anyone who would just like to get one that has a nice picture and isn’t too insanely expensive.

Im not an expert with gadgets, so was a little intimidated with this projector. I didnt need to be! Set up was straightforward and simple. The manual was pretty easy to understand. The onscreen setup was very useful. The picture quality was better than expected. I set it on an ottoman and projected it onto a textured wall, so the angle and focus dont look perfect in the pictures, but I was up and running casting my phone through the projector in a matter of minutes. I have a lot of features to try still, but I can already tell this is a keeper! There are plenty of input options, so let the fun begin! I can imagine casting my travel photos at a BBQ on a sheet outside....family videos onto a screen at a family reunion...music videos at poolside get-togethers....PowerPoint presentations at business meetings - so much easier now, with less equipment! 5 stars!

The picture quality is good, the corded connections are good but a few things I dont like. It does warm up our little room with continued use. Speakers are muffled and too quiet. Bluetooth connects fine but the sync has to much latency. We reverted back to a corded connection to a speaker as voiced did not sync to lips over Bluetooth.

The NexiGo PJ20 Outdoor Projector is a bright, sharp, lightweight, well-built LED projector. Im really impressed with what this projector can do. I have been using & testing the NexiGo PJ20 Outdoor Projector for over 2-months. I am pleasantly surprised on how well the projector provided a crisp, clear, and in-depth picture for a light-weight LED projector. Moreover, I was pleasantly surprised with how bright this projector is. It is easy to setup, well built, stylish and sturdy with excellent clarity and brightness. I am both a University & yoga teacher who teaches yogic studies classes in many different places - Small rooms, large halls and even some outdoor classes. The portability and performance of the projector was effective in all these environments- very versatile. As an “on-the-go” teacher, the projector can be setup quickly, easy to project from both my MacBook Air and Dell PC [Windows] with both mostly clear sound and clear picture. There is an in-depth user manual available which is easy to follow with clear, simple directions - effective for folks who don’t have any tech background - like me. For me, the picture quality was excellent - 5 out of 5 and sound quality mostly effective 4 out of 5 Bottomline: This is an amazing tool for teachers, consultants and salesman on-the-go. An exceptional value for its price! I highly recommend the NexiGo PJ20 Outdoor projector. Tim Mills

Its quality for the price, Bluetooth lags about a 1/2 second for the audio. The focus wasnt bad and the controller made functionality my easier to play with. Overall for the price its worth the buy.

Item arrived on time and packaging was intact and not damaged but when the projector was turned on the projection has a slash that when the focus is adjusted comes in and out of focus. This leads me to believe the glass was damaged.

Bought this item for occasional use & wanted it to be portable inside & outside of the house. It is good value for money, it has good connectivity & good brightness for low light spaces.

One of the standout features of this projector is its ease of setup, which can be completed quickly and effortlessly without the need for instructions. I was able to connect the projector to my iphone, pc, and iPad and have it up and running in less than 10 minutes. The user manual was also very helpful, providing detailed instructions for troubleshooting any potential setup issues. The projector also worked perfectly with my Roku stick, and I included a picture as proof. (The picture included is taken with my phone in the dark so the color looks off. The color looks much better in person. You can also adjust the color in the setting menu) The video quality is great and definitely meet the requirement of a home theater. Despite being a projector, the contrast remains strong even in the presence of low ambient light. The audio depends on the original quality of your audio. I used it to watch some music videos and the audio quality did not disappoint me. However, If the built-in speaker does not suit your fancy, connecting the projector to your home speaker via Bluetooth will always be an option. That’s what I choose to do, connecting it to my home theater speaker. The one downside to this projector is its fan noise, and it is the reason I connect the audio to my speaker. I take one star from my review because it can be quite loud, which can be distracting during quieter moments in movies or presentations. In a smaller room with you sitting closer to the projector this could be a problem. I am hoping there is a way this issue can be solved in the future line of products. Overall I would recommend this projector to people who want a simple & quality home theater but dont want to go through too much trouble setting it up. It is probably one of the best options in this price range considering one can set it up very easily and it is compatible to most of mobile devices we use at home.

I was looking for a TV for our family to watch movies. I wanted the TV to be large for movie nights. However, large screen movies are above $3-$4k price tag. Then I came across different projectors which could actually project an image over 100 inches. Looking for different brands of projectors, I saw I could not afford those projectors due to prices starting at $600+. At this point, I was looking for a projector that was affordable and had high quality image. After reading many reviews at Amazon and watching YouTube videos, I found out NexiGo PJ20 was what I was looking for. After the delivery of the product, I was not disappointed at the quality of the build and image it delivers. For around ~$200, it delivers true 1080p quality with over 100 inches of image size in a dark room. Every night, our family watches a movie and we no longer have to go a movie theater, we have our own movie theater at home now. Regarding the focus on the corners: if you place the projector directly in the center of the projected screen without any keystone correction, you will not have any focus issues on the corners. Projector has a projection ratio of 1.56:1. So, placing it at around 156 inches far from the wall/screen gives you 100 inch image. We found out at around 150 inches, the brightness of the projector is preserved and we get an image almost the size of 100 inch screen. Regarding the noise, the projector is not very noisy. The internal speakers of the projector is loud enough for watching movies. If you want immersive sound and for best movie theater experience, I recommend getting 2.1 wired speaker system which can be around ~$30 (e.g. logitech z323). Projector has its own system for connecting to WI-FI and phone mirroring, but we are using Fire Stick for watching movies from the web browser. So far, our experience was outstanding. Never imagined I could watch movies in a big screen without breaking a bank. If you have a painted wall (e.g. ours is gray), projected screen will work fine as long as the room is dark enough. If you are going to movie theater like AMC every week, it could cost you ~$20*52 = $1040 but if you get a projector like this for around $200, you could save yourself tons of money and watch movies as much as you want and it does not require special screen. Overall, I recommend this projector as a first time home theater for everyone on a budget.
