If youre looking for a reliable simple to use label printer thats both flexible and reliable youve come to the right place. Im a huge fan of the Niimbot label printers. I have several of their models and theyre all simple to use and reliable. I work in IT and labelers are an important tool for us. Especially where cabling is involved. To do the right job means labeling both sides of every cord and cable. Labeling every wall jack, every switch and asset tagging every piece of equipment. At home I like to label storage boxes and bins. I even label my label printers because every brand uses its own software and its own supplies. Why do I use so many different ones? Each has its own strengths and weaknesses and I like to keep each loaded with the labels I use it for the most. It saves time. Niimbot does a very professional job packaging their printers. They, for the most part, come in a white box with the model number and their Logo printed on the top and the identification and packaging information on the bottom. Thats it. Very clean. Inside is the labeler, the charging cable and the instructions. The Guide is well organized and printed and covers everything you need to know. Setting up the printer is very simple . Load the paper (the instructions even cover that), load the app from the appropriate app store, turn the printer on and the app will find it, recognize which label is loaded and youre ready to go. The app recognizes its entire line of printers and with each will recognize which label youre using and tailor the software to that model. The app has a large variety of fonts, font sizes icons and borders and even languages to choose from. You can see why I really like this company. In terms of supplies, Niimbot is a popular brand of printer manufacturer so their labels are readily available. This printer uses labels that range in widths from .47 (12mm) to .59 (15mm) and lengths from .86 (22mm) to 2.13 (54mm). They come in white, colors and with a whole line of labels that have cute pictures on them. It also has special labels for tagging cables. But this printer also has its limitations. It can only print in black which is a limitation of the thermal technology it uses to print, it can only print in a range of widths between 12mm and 15mm and it can only print on discrete size labels. You cannot put in a continuous roll of thermal labels and print any length you want. Thats why I have several different label printers. However, this is my go to label printer for work. Its light, its small and very portable. Also, its very reliable and the sizes it does print are the most common ones that I need. Besides, I love this robins egg blue color!

This worked great out of the box. However when I switched to the blue cord labels the print head quality dropped significantly to the point where is it unreadable. When I switched back to the white I had the same problem.

NIIMBOT B1 Label Makers, 2 Inch Portable Thermal Label Printer with 1.96 x1.18 Label for Clothing, Address, Business. SUMMARY: This is a nice sized, low weight, compact easy to use printer with a intuitive easy to use interface through the app. The app has lots of functions. The downside is because these are thermal labels according to the Niimbot website they only have a life of 2 years. I assume ambient temperature and UV light continue to develop the label until it becomes illegible. So if this is something you want to use to inventory/permanently label items in your home or workshop it is probably not for you. APP DOWNLOAD PROBLEMS: I wanted to run this from my new S series Samsung Galaxy Tablet (Android) but the App is not listed in the google store when I look on my tablet. It is also not listed on the Samsung Galaxy App store. I went to the Niimbot website to see if I could download the Android app directly but unfortunately they just have links to their app to the apple store and the google store. The Google store link took me to the app with a notice that it was incompatible with my tablet and I could not download it. I went to the Google store on my much older Samsung Galaxy A13 phone and I was able to download it. I am assuming this means the Niimbot app is old, needs updating and has Android compatibility issues. Thank you for reading my review and looking at my photos of this product. This lable maker is perfect size for storing in a desk drawer when not using it. The lables are simple and easy to install. The app was easy to navigate to get it downloaded. The printer is not heavy at all so its easy to move around with you, and the size makes it easy to set on a shelf with little to no space. The only complaint I have is the app is definitely not very user friendly, youre limited on everything on the app. You can not use your own fonts, designs, or anything. Not so happy with that, however you can pay more money and get the upgraded version butter honestly you do not get enough to make it worth the cost

I had this label printed within three minutes of opening the box. It was that easy! I love that its completely portable and charges quickly. You also dont need to purchase ink for it, only labels. You can also get various sizes of labels, depending on your needs. The app is a little tricky to figure out at first. You can do so much with it, including adding visuals like QR codes, laundry symbols, emojis, etc. There are fonts and ways other ways to change the text. With so many features, you might want to play around with it to see where everything is and all the cool things you can do. I could also easily connect my other NIIMBOT label maker with the same app and switch between them. For a portable label maker that can print much more than just letters, I highly recommend NIIMBOT!

The printer and the stickers look nice and all but they do not last. The manufacturer says 2 years, which is not long if you are thinking of using them to say label wires, panels, etc. I labeled some baby bottles and two things happened. The bottles that went into the bottle warmer had their labels turn completely black. The bottles that went into the dishwasher, had the print completely disappear. Sure, the adhesive did its job but the labels failed miserably. Another thing to know is that certain icons require a subscription to use. Yes, you read that right. A subscription to use some icons to print on their machine and their labeling tapes. Anyway. I returned it and bought myself another brand altogether thats somewhat more expensive but survives heat, water, detergent, etc for years and years. Plus, they have a huge variety of labels whereas this one, doesnt have a great selection of labels and tapes. To summarize, I would say that for a short lived project that will not be tested with heat, water, etc. This printer is just fine but for anything more than that, look elsewhere.

This is a pocket-sized label maker that easily connects to its smartphone app to make a variety of labels. Loading a label roll was very easy. I was unsure if I had the roll in the right spot, but the label maker could print it perfectly despite my lack of knowledge. You can buy a variety of labels in different colors, and even clear ones are available if needed. There are also a variety of shapes to add to your labels, and it is possible to incorporate objects, like bar codes, if necessary. Im using mine for basic home labeling, so I dont need anything fancy. My only complaint is that the print was slightly irregular. In other words, some areas were darker than other areas. Otherwise, I like this little gadget.

Works with the same app as their other printers, so its super easy to get started if you already have another one. The app is super intuitive and can import data from outside sources or increment a serial number. This printer is nice that it autocalibrates the label position before printing, so you shouldnt have to deal with it printing off the label. Print quality is good and the included labels stick well and can be repositioned (not permanent).

Works really well, was quick and easy to install and figure out. I would recommend to anyone looking for a quick label maker! There are a ton of different label designs that you can get to work with this printer also. Hope this was helpful!
