Best decision I have made for my photography. I use this lens on my D7000 for business and it has made taking portraits and head shots a snap! They are tack sharp and has minimize my post editing immensely. My new favorite go to lens.

Eigentlich sagt der Name Nikon schon alles. Dich ich habe mich selber überzeugt es ist ein ganz tolles Atlas mit super schönem Bokeh. Ab jetzt meine lieblingslinse.

This lens is yet another in a series of awesome professional lenses in a pro-sumer body. While the body may be made of plastic the optics on this beast are phenomenal! Sharpness in the corners combined with super fast and accurate auto-focus places this lens in the rarefied air of professional level lenses. I especially love the high quality bokeh this lens produces, very pleasing, while the speed of the auto-focus allows you to capture those fleeting moments that can make or break a beautiful image. Sure, Nikon could have put these lens elements in a metallic body but then it would be a $1600 lens instead of a $500 lens. And unless youre considering taking photos in a war-zone, this plastic body will more than suffice. Besides, all the photographers I know, including myself, baby our lenses like no tomorrow so Im far less concerned with the material that covers my lens and instead am much more interested in the optics the lens delivers. And this lens is awesome!

Still experimenting the new toy, in terms of quality I think its a good investment, but still an expensive one, at least for me (350Pounds/423Euros).

had to return this item after sending it off to repair due to connection issues. I think I just got a bad one but when it did work it was AMAZING!!

Lovely lens, very much worth it. I stopped using all my others since just love the blur it provides. It was delivered quickly and in new condition.

I got this lens for portraits and I love it. It definitely excels when used on a full frame body (I have a D610), but still is amazing on a DX body too (husband uses a D7100). I don’t go anywhere without it. Worth the money and a staple lens for portrait/wedding photographers!

I bought this lens for my wife as a gift but Ive used it a bunch. She is in heaven. It allows you to capture crisp portraits with amazing blurred background as desired. It does everything it should and more and thats why I give it 5 stars.

This is a fantastic lens. Its quickly becoming my go to lens for model shoots. Sharp and quick focusing. Love it.
