Nintendo New 3DS XL - Pikachu Yellow Edition [Discontinued]

Yes, its the UAE/Middle East version of the console. But that is still considered the NA region so everything works like you expect. I had zero issues setting up the console and my 3ds account. Also, I immediately played 2-3 different games to test if everything works and it worked perfectly. All my 3ds games are USA/NA region so do not hesitate to purchase this console. Im disappointed Nintendo has stopped selling 3DS consoles at retail... I would assume there is still a large demand for them even though the switch is the new thing. I have a switch but still find myself playing a lot of 3ds games due to backlog. I wish Nintendo still supported this awesome console and my personal favorite handheld tied with the Gameboy family of systems. As for the console itself... Just beautiful! Its brand new and absolutely gorgeous. The finish is perfect and the color truly unique without being a distracting yellow. Its the perfect shade that anyone would like. Does not come with a charger but thats been standard with the new 3ds models. Overall if you are still looking for a brand new 3ds grab these up while you can. I bought this to upgrade from the original 3DS I had since launch...this one is way better in all aspects. The 3ds has an extensive library of games that I will be playing for a long time to come so it was a no brainer purchase for me. Game on!

The first time I ordered it someone swapped out the 3DS for a 3DS case... I returned it and got my money back and I bought it again with no problems :)

Bought this for our Mom for Mothers Day, loved it so much that I went ahead and bought one for myself. Its absolutely adorable and I love that they updated the 3D feature on it. If youre a fan of Pikachu, this is a must have!

Looks nice, especially the inside of the clamshell. Everything besides face buttons and sticks were less impressive; especially the stylus which is in an awkward place on the bottom of the lower screen instead of the side, which is very annoying to pull out if you hold the DS against your chest. I would actually pass on this model if you need to pull out the stylus a lot w/ whatever games you play and you do hold the DS against your chest or with the device on a flat surface. Not sure why they thought putting the stylus on the bottom was a good idea. The 3D screen is still just meh, Id have bought the the same model without 3D if they made one. No charger included, as you know. Mine was ordered new, it had never been opened, but it would freeze up and then refuse to turn on after being on for a while. Probably some electrical component failing; (not the sd card, battery, corrupted data, or Wi-Fi chip which are common issues I ruled out.) Covid-19 is not a good time to deal with Nintendo repairs, so I returned it to Amazon for a refund which was issued without hassle. (Thank you AMZ!) Im disappointed that an unopened product would be prone to failure, and that you need to unscrew and remove a backplate just to troubleshoot with the battery and SD card. Not worth my personal seal of approval.

While I was aware that I was very likely going to recieve a previously owned UAE version of the device thanks to the comments left by previous buyers, I definitely expected it to work properly. Upon attempting to go through the first-time setup, the system will only accept english as the default language, any of the other 3 options will immediately freeze the 3DS and I have to do a hard restart. Later on in setup I am asked to choose the date, but anything I set here will cause the same freezing (see image included, it should immediately accept the date and continue with setup instructions), so the console is basically a $250 paperweight with a Pikachu scribbled on it. (Great!) I have zero trust for this seller and am sending this back, I can only guess this happened due to a mistake while wiping the devices data. Highly recommend just avoding this seller altogether to avoid headaches, Im not the first one to have a broken device delivered to them.

I was hoping to receive a US Version of this New 3ds XL, but upon reading other reviews I prepared myself to possibly receive the U.A.E Version ( Which I did :/ Hence the 3 stars ) They also try to hide the fact that it is a U.A.E system with the round blue stickers (I also show a picture after the sticker was removed) . It really makes me mad that they are allowed to do this. I just want to include a bit of information other reviews left out. Yes this system will still play US games. ( As other reviewers have stated) The only real issue of owning a U.A.E system in the united states is that if the systems breaks, you wont be able to send them into Nintendo to have them repaired, because it is from a different region. Keeping that in mind I have decided to keep my U.A.E Version to avoid the hassle and having to send it back. I just wanted to make other buyers aware of this. All in all this is a beautiful system. This soft yellow color is is visually stunning! I also love that the x,y,b,a buttons are fully colored rather than just the letter being colored. The screen look perfects and it plays the games I have with no issues.

The product is good but it is the UAE version and not the US version.

Birthday gift for my daughter she absolutely love it exactly like the pictures no difference notice for why it says Arabic version everything still is in English instruction setting everything English with other lenguaje to choose from. Color is a nice yellow not so bright screen colors look nice and works perfectly fine

System is awesome works great. Just a little overpriced. Should be below 200 dollars.
