    Greater than one week

Overall a great little fan, but longer screws were needed. I used a rotary tool to deepen the screw holes.

Fits my 3d printed case perfect, also tested with market cases - fits in all standard Pi size cases.

Using these on raspberry pi’s and the included wire connectors let me connect it up with Pi’s gpio pretty easily. Very handy to have when using poe hats that don’t have their own cooling, there’s enough airflow to keep everything cool. Will keep buying !

These worked great in my Amcrest DVR. Mounting was done using cable ties and these fans have been working for a year with no problems. They are also a lot quieter than the original Amcrest DVR fans. I have heard Amcrest change the fans out with quieter ones but I can not guarantee that.

This fan is so quiet that I did not believe it was running. The air flow is a bit lower than I needed for my application, perhaps I just got the wrong model. The build quality is excellent and I am pretty sure the fan will last way longer than other. The fan blades also wont break like other fans our there, so it you need a fan where things might touch the blades accidentally, this is a good option.

I absolutely love these fans. They do a great job in a sega dreamcast! The stock fan gets extremely noisy, or in my case just die altogether. I bought this fan and replaced my stock fan and it has made a difference in noise and temperatures! It’s so quiet that sometimes I have to check to see if it is even still running. I have a gdemu and that was bringing up temperatures. This fan brought them down. I loved the fan so much I added a second one just to circulate air from the rear vent. The next time one of my other dreamcasts has a fan problem I will definitely buy another noctua fan.

Bought this fan to replace the super loud fan on my large Netgear 24 port switch (GS724T v2) and it went from sounding like a hair dryer to whisper quiet. Love it so far.

I normally would not write a review about a case fan but this fan is amazing. The quality is the best I have seen in a small fan. Most small fans are of course made in China but this is made in Austria and while it may be ugly (brown) I dont care.

I usually pay a little extra for Noctua fans for my computers. They always outlast the computer that they are installed in. Ive bought two of these 5v 40mm fans to use on Raspberry pis now and I really like them. They are quiet, push plenty of air, and I know they will last a long time. Some people think the color is ugly. I dont mind the color, I actually kind of like it.

5V version

Many devices such as network or storage solutions use 5 volt 40mm fans. With the same operating voltage and the included OmniJoin adaptor set that makes it compatible with proprietary fan headers, the NF-A4x10 5V is ideal for replacing noisy or broken 5V 40mm fans.

Please Note: Being a 5V fan, the NF-A4x10 5V cannot be run at 12V and will be damaged when used with typical 12V power sources such as PC motherboard fan headers.

Flow Acceleration Channels

The NF-A4x10 impeller features suction side Flow Acceleration Channels. By speeding up the airflow at the crucial outer blade regions, this measure reduces suction side flow separation and thus leads to better efficiency and lower vortex noise.

SSO2 Bearing

The NF-A4x10 features the further optimised second generation of Noctua"s renowned, time-tested SSO bearing. With SSO2, the rear magnet is placed closer to the axis to provide even better stabilisation, precision and durability.

Reduced motor hub size

Thanks to its streamlined, compact motor design, the NF-A4x10"s motor hub is smaller than with conventional 4cm fans. This allows for more blade surface area and thus contributes to the NF-A4x10"s superior airflow and pressure performance.

Inner Surface Microstructures

With the tips of the fan blades ploughing through the boundary layer created by the Inner Surface Microstructures, flow separation from the suction side of the blades is significantly suppressed, which results in reduced blade passing noise and improved airflow and pressure efficiency.
