Noctua NF-A9 PWM, Premium Quiet Fan, 4-Pin (92mm, Brown)

Perfect and quiet

I ordered a NEW fan from Noctua and received a box that had very clearly been opened before. The manual is mangled and in the wrong place, a rubber foot was loose in the box, the plastic that holds everything in place wasn’t put together correctly, and one of the rubber fan mounts is missing. I have ordered many fans from Noctua and this is not the kind of quality I expect from a $17 fan and especially not from Noctua. I paid for a premium product, and received someones reject.

installing just this rear fan made my pc cool down significantly, my problem was that in my case that doesnt leave much room it took a while to get the rubber things through as they are very tough mixed with the weird angle,

You can always trust Noctua to have the best fit and finish in their products. Their fan line may cost a little more, but you can rely on the quality and warranty.

I bought this to replace the stock cpu fan in an old dell workstation with an intel xeon. I have it running on full blast all the time and barely hear it. It keeps my cpu temperature under 60 degrees under a 75 watt load. The downside if youre considering using it in a dell computer is the connectors dont match up so you need to buy a dongle (like a smart person would) or use jumper wires (like I do).

This review is for both the 92mm and 80mm versions of this model, 4-wire units with speed controlled by the motherboard.

Installed two of these into my desktop. Very simple to install, lots of extra cords for hookup (If needed). Ultra quiet, I cannot hear any noise from them at all, great value.

Extremely quiet, and moves a good deal of air

I have installed Noctua fans from 1 across to the giant AMD 2700 heat sink fan, and this, the 92mm one. All are silent as a tomb while moving at least, if not more, air than what they replaced. Their cocoa and almond coloring is very attractive even though Ive always hidden them in the component.

The best 90mm fan you can buy on the market period. Ive tried artics, thermaltakes, corsairs, etc and none can even reach the level of quiet and performance of the Nf-A9. Even at max rpms its still very quiet.
