Greater than one weekI was getting tired of the stock Intel fan in my HTPC, so I cut the fan off the heatsink, glued this fan to it with the four rubber pins, hooked it up with the low noise adapter, and it works perfect! The fans box frame also helps to force more air through the heatsink, so it doesnt have to work as hard to keep the CPU cool. The quality is excellent, the performance is great, and its very quiet. This is a great fan overall, and I highly recommend it!

> 3 dayI used this to replace a dead 4 pin CPU fan. This has slightly better specifications than the old one. And since it was a replacement, it just snapped right into the existing fan mounts. Then plugged into the CPU fan header on the motherboard. No more error messages. The fan was installed in an all black anodized aluminum tower case, so aesthetics are not an issue.

> 3 dayVery quiet, this replaced an old 92mm fan on my CPU cooler in my HTPC. Im seriously considering swapping out the case fans with Noctua.

> 3 dayIm running this in my ITX build. Its enough to cool my components without having me worry. My build: 8600k overclocked to 4.5ghz, EVGA 1080ti, 16gbx2 g.skill f4-3200c16-16gvk, asus z370i, and a thermaltake core v1. Im also running 1 Noctua NF-A20 fans in the front and 2 Noctua NF-A8 at the back. Been running great since August 2018.

> 3 dayI set out to make a nearly silent PC, in that I didnt want to go fanless, but I wanted it to have the fans running so slowly (or off) during normal operation that it was silent, and it was only during intensive activities that the fans would ramp up. Through that process I ended up using 5 different fan models from 3 different companies, including this NF-A9. Long story short, I prefer NF-Bx line from Noctua as my favorite and the best value. These NF-Ax series fans are slightly better, but not so much more so to justify the 50% (or so) increase in cost unless you need the vibration free mounting hardware it comes with. (The B series doesnt come with that nor with the extra extension and splitter cables the A series does.)

> 3 dayIve installed three of these fans now on my desktop PC and I have to say they are incredibly high quality across the board. The packaging, the build quality, the included spare parts, the ease of installation, and the cooling effectiveness are all top notch. I installed one as an exhaust fan on the back of my PC and two on my CPU cooler (one pulling and one pushing air) and theyve all worked incredibly well.
