> 24 hourAs with any Noctua product, its excellent. A little lighter than my D14, and I like that you can change the orientation to assist with avoiding other components on the motherboard. The ability to mount the fan (or 2) in low profile or high clearance is nice as well. Running games, the temperature only goes around 15-20C above ambient, which is great! I just wish Noctua would go away from the bland beige colour.

> 24 hourAbsolutely Amazing Cooler. It Looks So Cool In My Case. Installed Easy. Did I Mention That It Looks Cool?

> 24 hourAfter much research and vacillation between water vs air cooling, I went with the noctua. My Skylake 4ghz clocks to 4.7ghz with this--with water maybe I could get a little more but it doesnt matter to me; I mostly run it at under 4.5 anyway. The fan is dead silent and mounting the fan on top, as shown here, allows my low profile memory not only to fit under it but to be inserted or removed (ATX case). I also like the orientation of the radiator. Why? Physics--the farther out the mass from the point of attachment, the more leverage on the motherboard; this orientation with the radiator parallel to the motherboard keeps the mass close minimizing the leverage--the fan also blows right down onto the memory.

> 24 hourWorks very well, huge fan and cooling area. I bought a second one for another build.

> 24 hourAmazing heatsink. Cant do much better for the size.

> 24 hourWorks well in a 4U case (fan under). Looks nice, does a decent job cooling, not as good as my bigger DH, but is more then adequate for cpus pushing around 115W TDP.

> 24 hourCaught it on sale and replaced a Noctua NH-L9x65 (which moves less air), so the mounting bracket system was the same. Had to remove the fan to access the two hold-down screws then mounted the fan in the upper position (and blowing down). Not sure what the most efficient cooling position is and Noctua instructions did no say but they did note the upper position is the more quiet position besides including two extra fan wire holders if you want to run two fans in both mounting positions (and noted to use the throttle cable on the upper fan in that configuration).

> 24 hourThis thing is a fantastic beast of heat dissipation with the single fan it comes with. Add another on top and I dunno you must be overclocking at the limits, ut Im sure it will handle it. Also very quiet in operation even under stress testing. My only caution is in my title. It comes with Id say the perfect install phillips tool but its hard to see , and unless you do say 4 or 5 of these you wont have the feel for it. Usually one of the two screws is in a hard to observe area so do that one first the second one is easy. Also seeing between the fan blades and getting a good side shot, well an endoscope would have come in handy there. Also with all the attempts I did lose some skin to the cooling vanes. The manufacture warns that once installed dont travel with the computer without first uninstalling the cooler, its heavy enough and in such a small area attachment point I believe it may break off the motherboard in transit or if the desktop falls a few feet. In the end Noctua, you have done it , and delivered
