Greater than one weekI was very disappointed when I opened the package to see that there was thermal compound already on the cooler as seen in the pics. A couple of fins on the cooler was also a bent at the edges.

Greater than one weekAs with any Noctua product, its excellent. A little lighter than my D14, and I like that you can change the orientation to assist with avoiding other components on the motherboard. The ability to mount the fan (or 2) in low profile or high clearance is nice as well. Running games, the temperature only goes around 15-20C above ambient, which is great! I just wish Noctua would go away from the bland beige colour.

> 3 dayThis is a poorly designed product that does not fit standard motherboard form factors.

I am using this on a 2700X CPU and a Tomahawk B450 Board and right now it is running at 105 degrees F ... It is quiet but then again I am not a gamer but it seems to do the job ... even when my CPU is maxed out I have only seen the temp. in the 120 Degree area, wish I could say the same for my GPU ... but it is a older one, to be replaced soon... If you have a M/ATX case it wont fit, I can tell you from experience ... one way it gets interfered with by the Blue Ray Drive and the other way by the rear fan... it is a big unit ... I see people complain about the colors of the fan, if that is the case order a 140MM that you like but I really like a quietness and I have maxed it out.... You can mount the fan on the top or on the bottom and yes it clears the memory .... Hope this helps guide your decisions ... I am really beginning to think on these reviews that some people just like to downgrade everything ... I am happy with everything in my system

> 3 daythis cooler works great, and its quiet, even without using the noise reduction attachment. it is a monster though. its just huge, and its heavy. but it works. it keeps the CPU cooler than anything i have ever seen with the Intel stock fans.

05-04-2025first time using an after market cooler. my i5-4670k would reach temps around 80 degrees using the stock cooler i had for about 2 years. i just recently upgraded to this cooler, my first observation was how silent it was. considering the unit is much more massive i expected at least a similar sound but its really soft with my tower right next to me. i boot up around +3 degrees from room temp and i peaked 59 degrees a couple times now with a maximum load for me, playing a modern video game with a 1080p60fps stream and a file transfer between my hard drives. looking forward to overclocking

Greater than one weekThis consumer removed the stock fan and replaced with RGB fan. Now he has performance and appeal. This worked out exactly how I wanted it too, let the noctua cooler do its job which we already know can do its job real well but now it looks good while doing it placed it on my 1600x and no problems rose

> 3 dayHave it In a corsair crystal 460x case cooling a 3820 I7. Temps are 50c on load, they occasionally. go up to 52-53. Also have it on a i7 7700k in a Corsair 750d plenty of room. Keeps temps around 71 on max load. I dont have any other coolers to compare to as this is the only one I ever buy.
