I dont hear the fan at all or at least the sound is not noticeable with my central AC is on. Installation was breeze but make sure to attach other cables to the motherboard before fitting the MB into the case as you may not have enough room to reach CPU power sockets in a compact case.

> 24 hourI ordered this CPU cooler to replace a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo for a i7 8700k upgrade. The CM was keeping my temps around 35 degrees idle but up to in the 50s during a medium load. And it was struggling to even do that. The fan rpms were steady at 1500 and it was causing case fans to run high too. I knew that I needed a cooler upgrade. I decided to go with the Noctua because I could never get comfortable putting a liquid inside my case (too many total loss reviews). I have no regrets. My temps are >30 degrees at idle with a silent >500 rpm. I have yet to be above 40 degrees without purposefully stress testing. I ordered 2 Noctua NF-A15 chromax.black.swap fans to replace the brown/beige. I used the brown/beige fans to replace my case fans to reduce noise. You cannot go wrong with these fans!

> 24 hourI Love this cpu cooler , it is better then most liquid cooling set ups , it is rather Bulky ,but it fits in my mini atx well even though it is nearly as big as my motherboard , I am happy with this cooling unit it is very silent and cools effectively. even the mounting set up is easyer then one might think it would be .
