I wasted the past 90 minutes trying to install this software. When I followed the initial steps, I was prompted to create an account but was told that my email address was already associated with an account. So, I requested a password reset 3 times and never received it. Then I spent 30 minutes with Nortons online support and they were unable to email me a password reset. They told me to reboot my computer which seemed like a waste of time and it was. As a workaround, I decided to create an account with a new email address and was able to do so. Then I was prompted to download the software and reboot my machine. So, I installed and rebooted but was prompted to install. I saw no indication that the software had been installed so I repeated the downloading, installation, and rebooting and was once again prompted to download the software. This ordeal was a 90 minute waste of time. I would expect much better of Norton.

Ive been a Norton user for a long time, going back to Norton Utilities in the 1990s. Their product is excellent, but the new automatic renewal program is a scam. Two months before the renewal date I went into my Norton Account to turn off the automatic renewal, which I did. Two days later I went back to my Norton Account to verify that automatic renewal had been turned off. It was not. I turned it off again. On recheck it still was not turned off. I let it go, knowing that the credit card on file had been replaced with a new card and number. Sure enough, a month before the renewal date Symantec had tried and failed to charge my account. Every day since then I have received emails and pop-ups imploring me to update the credit card info so they could process the automatic renewal. Fat chance. My renewal date comes up in two weeks, and I fully expect to receive a fantastic renewal offer. Too late. I just now placed an order on Amazon for Bitdefender Total Defender which I will install as Norton expires. A very long relationship is about to end. Goodbye Norton by Symantec.

I do not know enough about Pros and Cons of various Security Suite programs but Norton products are always rated well and I feel confident it is doing a good job. I know it has stopped me a couple of times from visiting undesirable web pages. My biggest grip is how intrusive the notifications on pushing other Norton services as add-ons has become. I thought the 360 line was supposed to be all inclusive but Im constantly getting notifications to upgrade to other product add-ons such as a privacy monitor, etc that of course cost extra money. Makes me wonder if the 360 is really all that inclusive of a protection security suite as once stated. Makes me consider investigating product alternatives. The good news is that if you disable the auto renew function, you can purchase a product key online much cheaper than paying the product renewal costs but this too gets tiresome to do every year.

Easy to install. Never had a problem with this software. Would buy again. Very good protection. On 5 of my products.

I was going to order it from a retail store, when I read the comments a few people felt the Norton came from a third party and had problems installing. This was from Norton worked great and tech support helped me get it installed. If you are on auto renew it will be quite a bit higher cost in a year. So find out how to turn off your auto renew. I still haven’t done it yet, they auto renew 3 months before expiration is what I heard/read?

Ive used Norton for years, each year purchasing a new key card. Im very upset about the new subscription direction. Ill renew this year but did consider Kaspersky before purchasing. Also too bad Internet Security was discontinued and Norton 360 is the only option. Not sure what Ill do next year.

Ive used Norton antivirus/security off and on for many years, and the product seemed to be decent. I remember about 15 years ago they used to play annoying games with customers with a $10 or $20 mail-in rebate for their AV. They had all these rules you had follow to get the rebate. If you didnt follow their rules exactly, you would get a reply mail saying your rebate has been rejected. And you couldnt resubmit because the rebate periods were very short. Now theyre playing this new game when activating this product, where youre forced to enter a credit card number that will be used to auto-bill you for next year. At first, when I was installing this, I was a little confused when the message came up saying to enter a credit card number. I thought WTF, Im using a prepaid subscription, why are they trying to bill me again? I came back to this Amazon page to see if there were specific instructions and also read the comments from others who gave 1 star, then I figured it out. When theyre asking for a credit card number, its not very clear that the purpose of this is to bill you next year with auto-renewal with the credit card number you enter, where theyll charge you $60, what the renewal cost quoted to me was. Ill turn auto-renewal off and switch to another AV for next year.

Very difficult to cancel renewal. Will not take NO for an answer. Way too many upgrade feature addons angin will not take NO for an answer. Expensive renewal. Not interested in another year for these reasons

I keep an old XP machine around to run backups on my other computers. So when my renewal came up in July, I called tech support to make sure this product would still work on Windows XP because the information on their web site was confusing. I was told that XP was still supported with this product. When I asked how much longer, they wouldnt tell me. Now, less than two months after buying the product, I get an email from Norton saying that support for XP will be ended in early 2021. I can understand not updating the software, but they wont even supply updates to the virus definitions, even though Ive paid for a year of service.
