I work inside all day, sometimes 16 hours without even seeing the sun. I had a feeling that I was vitamin d deficient so I decided to supplement based on my work schedule. I am so thankful that I did! The product itself is awesome and I highly recommend NOW products based on my own personal experience with them. Ive done no scientific tests on them but they seem to always be packaged well and I get the desired effects from the companies products. I notice a difference in my mood and my complexion since I started supplementing D3. This weekend I went swimming with my kids and forgot to put sunblock on, normally I burn to a crisp - not this time! I had no idea that vitamin D would keep me from burning but it does! With a genetic predisposition for anxiety, I have always struggled with anxiety. However, after moving from the southern US, the anxiety I suffered became debilitating. Not until I had numerous doctors visits and complained that I felt like something was very, very wrong, and that I felt I was falling apart (uncharacteristic for a motivated individual like myself) did they test me for a smorgasbord of things. The only test that came back abnormal was vit D. My total combined level was less than 25, and I was put on 5,000 IU every day for a month. This helped amazingly! Suddenly, situations that would have me curled into a ball were tolerable, and I could face the world again. Anxiety attacks that would pulsate burning rays throughout my body and result in me running for the bathroom now are almost entirely gone! The product came as described . Great price and product. NOW products are now part of my online shopping. This brand is one of the most recommended here in USA.Excelente.

After delivering the news that I was vitamin D deficient (which everyone basically is), my doctor instructed me to start taking 5000 IUs daily. I thought this seemed a bit high, but actually not knowing what an IU was I went with it. After scouring grocery stores, pharmacies, etc, I just couldnt find this dose anywhere. Long story, short - I jumped on Amazon, had the item located in seconds and paid a great price for hundreds of these things! I guess only time will tell, along with more blood work, whether Now Foods vitamin D is up to snuff. Until that time, I will definitely continue to use this brand through Amazon.
