Replaced a 6 year old projector which the replacement light did not fit. This model is much improved and brighter during the day.

Pros - high Pic quality, bright - seeing very well with lighted room, easy to use, include HDMI CEC which make the Remote control useless, super quiet, comfortable price. Cons - lamp area is super hot, cant touch it. thats why I didnt gave 5 stars I guess it wont extend lamp life...

Its been a pretty solid unit up until the last couple of months. Fan noise is a little high under certain operation modes, but the biggest issue I have is dead pixels. It started out as a few but has progressed steadily over the last month or two to the point where its very noticeable. Im sure I have no more warranty coverage at this point, so Im guessing Ill be replacing it soon.

I bought this product based on its reviews. However, my experience with it was horrible. First, the device always had HDCP errors. I tried fixing the errors by changing my HDMI cable and picture source (DVD player, cable box, Roku Bar), but I was never able to get rid of those erros entirely. I know the problem is from this projector because when I connected the same setting to an Epson projector or a Samsung TV, there were no errors at all. Second, even when there were no HDCP errors, the picture brightness and quality was below par. I am not sure if the problem is in my specific item or the product is of poor quality. What made things worse is that I was charged a high restocking fee when I return it.

Lordy lordy I love it. Its a major upgrade from what I had great picture and is fairly quiet. Can have lights on in the room and still see the picture fairly well. I give this product a 10 of 10 so far.

This was my first projector purchase. Overall I was pretty happy, was bright enough for daytime use, HDR content looked great. All the expected keystone and adjustments available. However, after two months of daily usage, it now will not turn on, and throws a bulb error code. Luckily I am still in my refund window, however I will be shopping with BenQ instead and staying away from Optoma.
