I bought this unit to replace the HD 26 that I bought in 2016. That was a very good projector I had purchased a new bulb for it and very recently the color went out on it and it was only in black-and-white. The funny thing is when I was reading the reviews for this one the remote control only had 3 1/2 stars but on the HD 26 it has five stars after unboxing I compared the two and they are the exact same. I haven’t heard mounted to the ceiling in the place of where the HD 26 was about 15 feet from the screen I am at the max and there is no adjustment for focus. Where the HD 26 had a zoom in and zoom out as well as focus and fine-tune

I cant believe the amazing quality and brightness of the picture, even on the 30 x 12 wall Im projecting it on. This has changed my gaming experience forever. There is no better way to play GTAV than life sized, for sure. I get an edge in COD and other online games because I can see literally everything. It also makes family movie night very special. I will never go back to mounting a screen, this was quick, easy, and very intuitive to set up.

I am not sure if i got a defective unit or simply that is a bad product. I can only base my review on my experience. I got this new projector to replace my old unit. Short to realize that my old unit with way lower specs perform 10 times better. This is why i returned on the spot. Looking for a better option. Hope i am not basing my review on no a simple bad unit

This projector is very nice! I have mine ceiling-mounted, about 12-15 feet away from a 100” screen. The picture is very bright, even with the lights on in the room (but best viewing is, of course, when the lights are off). Setup was easy.

Product arrived quickly and was easy to set up. The backlit remote control is very useful in a dark media room. 4k picture quality is exceptional and the true black enhances the dark colors. Lots of picture quality control options. I also tried an Epson 1060 model for the same price but the Optoma HD28HDR is far better in quality and very quiet sound

This should be my second Optoma projector. My first one I bought 6+ years ago and it is still working perfectly. I ended up returning this product, since it had a dust spot inside the lens. I wouldnt have returned it otherwise. Although it was just barely noticeable, this product is too expensive to have such issue when new. Maybe I was just unlucky, but I would rather pay $10 more and have them doing better factory QA or being more careful when assembling the lens to avoid such inconvenience. Cons: A bit noisy (DH1011 is quieter). QA issues (dust spot inside the lens). Pros: Great image quality. Very bright. Besides that dust spot, the product seemed good.

I bought this product based on its reviews. However, my experience with it was horrible. First, the device always had HDCP errors. I tried fixing the errors by changing my HDMI cable and picture source (DVD player, cable box, Roku Bar), but I was never able to get rid of those erros entirely. I know the problem is from this projector because when I connected the same setting to an Epson projector or a Samsung TV, there were no errors at all. Second, even when there were no HDCP errors, the picture brightness and quality was below par. I am not sure if the problem is in my specific item or the product is of poor quality. What made things worse is that I was charged a high restocking fee when I return it.

Lordy lordy I love it. Its a major upgrade from what I had great picture and is fairly quiet. Can have lights on in the room and still see the picture fairly well. I give this product a 10 of 10 so far.

The picture is great. Excellent for watching sports. The only thing is when you first start it up, you get an awful rattling noise that lasts about 60 seconds. Then it goes away and no more noise. Ive had it for about 2 months and no problem.
