> 24 hourThis is a pretty neat little gadget. Pretty much just follow the directions, then plug the power in. To scan, you just put the photo in, it takes it away. Converts it right to Jpg on the memory card. And, if you dont have a memory card reader you can plug it into the computer and download it directly. Only downside is a technical limitation - you cant scan and pull pictures off the card at the same time (probably a memory card limitation). Otherwise its a pretty neat gadget.

> 24 hourAhhh can anyone let me know why the white lines in photos? In my experience that would be due to dust, did the cleaning several times along with the calibration several times....why pandigital could not get this right? Its a NO BRAINER! This scanner is well needed and Ive been looking for one for a long time to digitally document my old photos and not have to use a flatbed scanner.... So sad, this item is not worth a dime. I dont know how anyone could give it more than 1 star. The images are unusable w/ the various lines going through them.

> 24 hourI was introduced to the Pandigital photo scanner by a friend who got one to scan old family photos. Considering the cost - very low - it does what its supposed to do quite nicely. Yes, a few photographs did show thin streak lines through the copy but only one really affected the copy and I will rescan that one after cleaning the photo and scanner for a retry. It is quick, quiet and easy to use. For what I need and want and at the price its just fine! So, Im happy with it.

> 24 hourI just received this item today and just love it. It is lightning fast and absolutely tiny. It saves your pics immediately to a memory card or directly to your hard drive or digital photo frame (I have only tried the memory card method). I like that it works stand alone and you dont need hardward to use it, I couldnt find another photo scanner that worked this way. The downsides: (1) It only scans up to 1800 X 1200 (300 dpi) so clarity is not necessarily the best. Depending on your needs, this could be a bigger deal for you than for me- I was just looking for something to digitize old photos with to put on the computer rather than print them out. (2) It cant scan a picture bigger than 4 X 6, so giant photos would need another method. For me, what it lacks in quality and features, it more than makes up for with convenience and portability. Great item!

> 24 hourIm puzzled by all the bad reviews and lines reported in the scanned photos. Mine does a wonderful job of scanning 4x6 photos exactly as they are. I did buy mine through Woot, so I dont know if it was reconditioned at the great price I paid, but it is fun and quick to send 50 year old pictures from my photo albums to family and friends as attachements or printed out on snapfish or one of the other services.

> 24 hourI was looking forward to using this and at first it was great. I scanned about 75 photos. The next day I went to use it and there were lines across the photos, which was totally different from the first day when I used it. Im returning it and will try to find something similar that is a better-quality product.

> 24 hourI owned an early model of this mini scanner which served me well for several years before it gave up. For $30 I figured I couldnt go wrong with another. This model scans much faster than the old model so I am more likely to use it. I mostly use it for scanning receipts, business cards, and Christmas cards. The photo quality isnt terrific but the alternative is that I would just loose those images forever so they are better than nothing for sure. Yes there are fine white lines across all the dark areas of a photo like others have noted so if you are into high quality photos this scanner is not for you. If you want something cheap, quick, and adequate than this scanner will do fine.

> 24 hourI like most people have boxes of paper photos. I want them digital. So I purchased the Pandigital Scanner. I was quite impressed. Once you get it out of the box, turned on, you can start scanning your pictures almost as fast as you can feed them. The roller is self propelled so it pulls the picture into the scanner and converts the photo into digital data. You can do about a 100 in about an hour. It also comes with software which will allow you to scan typed documents into a word processor so that it can be edited. There are a few steps involved in doing this. Totally happy with product and tech support.

> 24 hourIt was reasonably priced, fast shipping. This scanner is so easy to use, you dont even need to have it hooked up to a computer to scan photos, you can scan them, it saves them on the SD card (one is included) and you can either put the SD card in your computer or take it to whatever store has a reader (if you want your photos printed) or plug it into your computer and transfer the files. And because you dont have to attach it to a computer to work, you can use it anywhere with an electrical outlet! The photo does need to be flat and occasionally slips, but on ones that slip I found that keeping a finger with slight pressure on the end of the photo helps guide it through (I have been scanning old photos in to share with family after we lost my Mother) It saves so much time over a traditional desktop scanner, in just about 2 hours I scanned over 150 photos, that is with taking breaks and having to take the photos out of an album and put them back in.
