Very easy to use right out of the box. I liked the way it works. You just insert the photo and it automatically saves it to the SD card. I got the same white lines on every photo I scanned that everyone else is talking about. I tried to calibrate the unit a few times but it did not improve. I would consider buying again if they fixed that problem but I had to return it.

I just received this item today and just love it. It is lightning fast and absolutely tiny. It saves your pics immediately to a memory card or directly to your hard drive or digital photo frame (I have only tried the memory card method). I like that it works stand alone and you dont need hardward to use it, I couldnt find another photo scanner that worked this way. The downsides: (1) It only scans up to 1800 X 1200 (300 dpi) so clarity is not necessarily the best. Depending on your needs, this could be a bigger deal for you than for me- I was just looking for something to digitize old photos with to put on the computer rather than print them out. (2) It cant scan a picture bigger than 4 X 6, so giant photos would need another method. For me, what it lacks in quality and features, it more than makes up for with convenience and portability. Great item!

I like most people have boxes of paper photos. I want them digital. So I purchased the Pandigital Scanner. I was quite impressed. Once you get it out of the box, turned on, you can start scanning your pictures almost as fast as you can feed them. The roller is self propelled so it pulls the picture into the scanner and converts the photo into digital data. You can do about a 100 in about an hour. It also comes with software which will allow you to scan typed documents into a word processor so that it can be edited. There are a few steps involved in doing this. Totally happy with product and tech support.

This scanner leaves lines on the picture. At times the photo will hesitate to completely go through the scanner. It will not scan Polaroid pictures because they are too thick.

I was so excited about scanning my old photos. Loved the idea of the photo feeder. Within 30 to 40 scans I was getting a 1 dark band and white lines in the middle of the pictures. Not all, just some, but enought to put it back in the box and return it to the store. Best Buy, Bed Bath and Beyond, Staples, Frys, and Target no longer carry the unit. Staples claimed it was a holiday item. Was it because of all of the complaints? I really like the unit, hated the quality. Mine was the white Model O5 which appears to be their most current product.

This scanner does exactly what was promised in the advertising. Its fast and the scans have been clean. Someone else mentioned lines in the scans, but I have not had any problems like this. Its FAST--unbelievably so, actually! The limitations are that it only takes up to 4x6 pictures and the dpi is limited, but its high enough to replicate the size of the scan and even go a little bigger for enlargements, but its not going to take a 4x6 and increase the resolution enough to make 8x10 prints, of course. I have also noticed that if you dont get the feed just right, the photo can slip, either causing the scan to be crooked or elongating a section of the scan. Also, some of the older photos that I have used it on have wide borders and those have been cut off at the end of the scan. I dont think there is any fix for that, but I havent looked into it. Those things being said, I am perfectly happy with this little scanner and would highly recommend it.

I just opened this baby up and started scanning and love the way it functions. It scans fast and easy and seems to autocrop when necessary. The major downside is there are fine lines through almost half of my pictures I scanned. Some are noticiable and all seem to be in the same area. Tried rescanning those pics and it sometimes improves and goes from 2 lines to 1 but its always there. I am calling MFG to see if there is a fix besides the recalibration.

Made scratch marks on pictures that were scanned in; but not on the actual fed in photo. I would not by any other products from this manufacturer.

I was introduced to the Pandigital photo scanner by a friend who got one to scan old family photos. Considering the cost - very low - it does what its supposed to do quite nicely. Yes, a few photographs did show thin streak lines through the copy but only one really affected the copy and I will rescan that one after cleaning the photo and scanner for a retry. It is quick, quiet and easy to use. For what I need and want and at the price its just fine! So, Im happy with it.
