Greater than one weekI was so happy to find this item and have used it to create several CDs of family pictures. I have scanned with the sleeve and find there are white lines in each pictures - I have been very careful to continue to keep sleeve and picture cleaned. After doing all the maintenance work again, cleaning, calibrating, etc, I inspected the sleeve very carefully and find there are actually lines in the sleeve too. Probably from dust - microscopic as I was very careful. The quality is ok, the family liked the CDs, but they did remark about the white lines. Sad, a lot of work involved in scanning several hundred pictures to have the white lines show up. Very quick - yes Fun - yes Even semi professional - no If any one finds a fix for this problem I would love to hear it. The product is inexpensive - guess that is what we get. Thanks, Alpha

01-04-2025Made scratch marks on pictures that were scanned in; but not on the actual fed in photo. I would not by any other products from this manufacturer.

> 3 dayI just received this item today and just love it. It is lightning fast and absolutely tiny. It saves your pics immediately to a memory card or directly to your hard drive or digital photo frame (I have only tried the memory card method). I like that it works stand alone and you dont need hardward to use it, I couldnt find another photo scanner that worked this way. The downsides: (1) It only scans up to 1800 X 1200 (300 dpi) so clarity is not necessarily the best. Depending on your needs, this could be a bigger deal for you than for me- I was just looking for something to digitize old photos with to put on the computer rather than print them out. (2) It cant scan a picture bigger than 4 X 6, so giant photos would need another method. For me, what it lacks in quality and features, it more than makes up for with convenience and portability. Great item!

Greater than one weekThis scanner does exactly what was promised in the advertising. Its fast and the scans have been clean. Someone else mentioned lines in the scans, but I have not had any problems like this. Its FAST--unbelievably so, actually! The limitations are that it only takes up to 4x6 pictures and the dpi is limited, but its high enough to replicate the size of the scan and even go a little bigger for enlargements, but its not going to take a 4x6 and increase the resolution enough to make 8x10 prints, of course. I have also noticed that if you dont get the feed just right, the photo can slip, either causing the scan to be crooked or elongating a section of the scan. Also, some of the older photos that I have used it on have wide borders and those have been cut off at the end of the scan. I dont think there is any fix for that, but I havent looked into it. Those things being said, I am perfectly happy with this little scanner and would highly recommend it.

> 3 dayThese work great until you get a smudge... then youll have to throw it away. You get them cheap online because they were discontinued as high defective rate I suppose.

> 3 dayI loved this when I first got it. I love the speed. However, as other reviewers have stated there are frequent white lines. My biggest complaint is I used it heavily the first 2 weeks I got it. Then it sat for several months and when I went to use it it wouldnt even turn on. Since the warranty is only 90 days its not covered by warranty. Regardless though, when I emailed the manufacture they couldnt even respond to my email. Poor product from a company with even poorer customer service. Save your money and dont buy.

> 3 dayThis scanner leaves lines on the picture. At times the photo will hesitate to completely go through the scanner. It will not scan Polaroid pictures because they are too thick.

> 3 dayit works as advertised, it will rip through a stack of snapshots as fast as you can feed it, way faster than a flatbed scanner. no complaints, if you have old pics to scan , this is the ticket. quality is just fine for digital albums, web albums, archiving to dvd to watch on tv, dunno about enlargements, but if you want fast and easy, this is it.

> 3 dayI just received the scanner and scanned about 40 pictures. The scanner was easy to use. However, I had the lines in all the pictures and the scanned image was darker than the original. The originals did not have lines before being scanned, after running it through the scanner, I could see light lines on the original. I would not purchase this scanner. I am currently in the process of returning it.
