Pandigital PANSCN01 PhotoLink Mini Scanner -Black

The product is easy to set up and use, but it definitely leaves lines through the pictures. I read the reviews on here before buying, and it seemed like only one reviewer had trouble with lines, so I thought Id take my chance. I even made sure to clean each photo beforehand, to remove any dust or other debris. My first two (2) pictures came out good, but ONLY my first two pictures. The rest had horrible white lines on them! And the amount and thickness of lines seemed to increase as I went on. The manufacturer KNOWS this is a problem, and even addresses this issue in the user manual. I followed the recommended solution: cleaning and calibrating the machine, but that made no difference. There were still lines! I am upset that I wasted so much time scanning photos (it is much quicker than using a flatbed scanner though). I would not recommend this product to anyone who is trying to digitize their precious photos. If you dont care about the quality, then go for it. Otherwise, this machine would only be useful for scanning business cards or receipts. I will be returning this. Save yourself the trouble--dont buy!

After I figured out how it worked it became the best buy for my photo job ever and inexpensive.

I purchased even with the mixed reviews hoping it would work for me. I am trying to scan photos from the last 13yrs that are in photo albums. I scanned about 200 pictures and every one of them had a line or lines through them. I cleaned the machine and calibrated the machine per instructions and still had the same problem. Sent it back and going to keep researching machines.

This scanner leaves lines on the picture. At times the photo will hesitate to completely go through the scanner. It will not scan Polaroid pictures because they are too thick.

It had a large white line down the center on all the down loaded pictures scanned.

Ahhh can anyone let me know why the white lines in photos? In my experience that would be due to dust, did the cleaning several times along with the calibration several times....why pandigital could not get this right? Its a NO BRAINER! This scanner is well needed and Ive been looking for one for a long time to digitally document my old photos and not have to use a flatbed scanner.... So sad, this item is not worth a dime. I dont know how anyone could give it more than 1 star. The images are unusable w/ the various lines going through them.

I purchased the scanner to be able to scan old family photos. Unfortunately, it does not scan the old thicker photo paper. On normal photos, it worked just fine.

Weve already scanned in a few photos and have been pleased with the result. Ive read reviews of this product on other sites and those would suggest that the reviewer was either impatient or expected too much. This is an inexpensive scanner and it does well for the money. If you want very high quality then be prepared to spend a lot more. I have no complaints.
