Excellent lights. Hue are my preferred WiFi enabled light bulbs.

Expensive. Works as expected. No complaints.

Kind of disappointing. I think the standard round Hue A19 bulbs are brighter and produce a better light, and are much cheaper. You can adjust these between various shades/warmths of white but I didnt find the level of contrast to be great, nor was the shade very pleasing. They didnt produce a strong light in the lamps into which I placed them. I ended up removing them, putting them in a ceiling fixture, and putting standard Hue A19 bulbs in the lamps, and those look much better. These are not worth the cost to me.

I bought one set 6 months ago and have been replacing almost every bulb in the house with them ever since. What none of these reviews seem to tell you is that you can control these bulbs without any bridge, you just have to have at least one Philips Hue Smart Dimmer Switch. The product description and instructions that come with these bulbs and/or the Dimmer Switch say that you have to have a bridge or Alexa, you do not. I have one remote per room. One remote will control multiple bulbs. There are Youtube videos with instructions on how to connect without a bridge, it is an extremely simple process - but even they do not say that while the bulb is turned on you can tap the on/power button again to change the color temp to one of the four in the product description. I found out by accident. I can only speak to specific bulb (White Ambiance). The four color temperatures are the third picture down on the manufacturers item page. You get everything from daylight to candlelight. I prefer the soft glow of the Relaxation temperature.

These lights are my go to light bulbs for overhead lighting. While Hue are more expensive then other brands they have the best integration with other smart home devices. I own several of this bulb and have not had any issues with them. The color gets very warm to very cool and the bulbs are very dimmable. This bulb is a great option if you are not interested in color lighting but want more options on the range of whites then the basic hue bulb.

This worked great until Phillips decided to dishonor its promotion with echo which stated you could use their bulb without the bridge/hub and greedily disconnect the amazon alexa app so you cannot connect the skill through the app. They seem to have done this in order to force people to buy their overpriced hubs and bridges. We disconnected and were unable to connect back to it through our echo so now we have an overpriced $2 bulb. Additionally they discontinued the hue bluetooth app on the play store to force people into their new system

It was a gift and the bulbs were appreciated. I worried that they might not be packed good enough but the bulbs were fine.
