> 3 dayI really love the Philips Hue ecosystem, these bulbs included. Work well for wakeup routines or just being able to adjust the light color based on time of day. Would recommend and will buy again.

> 3 dayThese are great so far. Ive had in them installed for a week and they are great. Integration with homekit is awesome. Only complaint I have is that they dont seem as bright as Id like them to be and when they are dimmed to the lowest setting they are still brighter than Id like. Other than that they are great. Id still recommend.

> 3 dayI knew getting into the Hue world it would be pricey, but I dont feel like they should charge this much. I guess you get what you pay for. I have had zero problems with any of my Hue gear. They are pretty idiot proof and the app gets better with age.

> 3 dayI originally purchased the classic hue white dimmable bulbs and they were SO warm/ yellow tone, I returned them immediately. These just came and even without adjusting any settings, they are SO much better. I wish they were cheaper, but the classic hue white is terrible, so this was the next step up. If you want to go with smart bulbs, between the hue white and hue ambiance, I definitely recommend these!! Also, one review mentioned not working with Hunter fans and I don’t know what model we have, but it works perfectly fine in ours.

Greater than one weekThese lights are my go to light bulbs for overhead lighting. While Hue are more expensive then other brands they have the best integration with other smart home devices. I own several of this bulb and have not had any issues with them. The color gets very warm to very cool and the bulbs are very dimmable. This bulb is a great option if you are not interested in color lighting but want more options on the range of whites then the basic hue bulb.

> 3 dayIf you notice a common thread among Hue reviews, its that people are amazed about how they work so well despite being so far from the hub. Theres a simple explanation for this, its because Hue uses a protocol called Zigbee to connect. Zigbee devices all talk to one another, rather than just to a single access point like WiFi connected bulbs do. As a result, as long as any bulb or switch can trace a signal via other bulbs all the way back to the hub, they will work. They even have redundancies so if you turn on a device that interferes with the signal (like a microwave), they will try to negotiate a new path through via a different bulb. This makes for a much longer ranged and reliable setup, that gets better and better the more bulbs you add to your home. There are other bulbs that use Zigbee as well, and as long as the hub supports them, they will work as repeaters as well - you will want to do some searching before you buy to make sure that any given brand will work this way. That doesnt mean Hue bulbs are without issues, though. The biggest one is that they tend to not be as bright as some of their competition, especially in some color profiles. In yellow mode, they are noticeably dimmer than than, say, the Sylvania competitors. In my opinion, though, the convenience of the most widely available software platform makes up for this shortcoming.

> 3 dayI recently decided to install ‘smart home’ lighting and other devices in my home, and after some research I decided to give the Philips Hue system a try. I also have quite a few basic non-smart LED bulbs in my home. I’m very happy with the Hue system so far although it is going to take some time to fully understand all of the ways it can be varied and used. I use mine together with the Apple HomeKit system, and the integration with HomeKit has been automatic and without difficulty. There is a huge difference in the price of individual bulbs depending on what they are capable of, beginning with basic LED bulbs that don’t offer the integration with the Hue system (remote operation and programming), and continuing to bulbs that are a part of the Hue system and have features including full color control (most expensive). The Philips Hue system requires the use of a Hue hub connected to your home Wi-Fi system to connect and control Hue specific bulbs and accessories, and there are starter kits to obtain the hub together with two or four bulbs. Initially it took some time to understand the differences between the various Philips Hue bulbs, so here is a quick intro. There are five basic Philips LED bulb types (both Hue and non-Hue bulbs). ALL ARE 60W equivalent, Dimmable, E26 type (standard light bulb): - 1.
