Lightweight and cordless. its so much easier to cut your own hair without having to deal with the cord. Since COVID , ive stopped going to salons and started cutting my own hair learned from various youtube videos. Between a good set of clippers like these and mastering the technique... im never going back with this investment equivalent to the cost of 2 haircuts, this solves the problem for me. Full head of hair and more on full charge is no issue and should last a lot longer than that. Quality feeling product, blades a sharp and cut precisely. The fader combs work great. Find the length you want by slowly and gradually trying shorter combs. Dont assume the number is exactly what your stylist uses as some bare blades have length adjusters as well... these dont. if i had a beard, im sure these would be great for it. Also used on eyebrows. Good luck!

I, like many men have bought this trimmer to control the size of my beard and also not unlike many men out there am using different size guards interchangeably in one session. The shaver comes with two trimmers, one full size and another extra wide. Also 3,5,7 mm increments for full size trimmer guards and 4,9,12,16 mm for extra wide trimmer guards. Realy feel that the full size trimmer is lacking 9 and 12 mm guards, as for the extra wide trimmer, 7mm would be great. Would it be possible to add these and perhaps sell these guards additionally Philips, please? Otherwise I have to change not only the guards, but the trimming heads as well, all to get a beard in order. This is too much work and quite a hassle! I looked at one of the trimming heads as more like a spare part, it cant be good to detach/reattach trimming heads to your shaver all the time because of the wear and tear. Also, the metal springs of the shaver that hold trimming heads in place can get weak with such operation. I like the quality, its quiet when working, feels powerful, the vibration frequency in your hand is high and even, which is quite pleasing. Material is good, the stainless body is amazing, feels right in the hand, too. Comes a bit smaller than what youd expect, which is not a particular loss in my opinion. Im saving the pad that holds the parts, its nice green and could fit well on a shelf for everyday easy access and use, keeping the parts you use most often handy. The pouch that comes with my 7050 is more like a storage for parts that youre not using often. Five-star work, though Im at loss why wouldnt the manufacturer complete the gaps in guard size and save us a day or two of life. It would take just three more guards and as far as I understand, those arent even being produced.

I bought this trimmer to replace my aging Wahl from 2012. Not seeing the quality I was hoping for in other brands, the Norelco does not disappoint! This trimmer has a very solid feel and I havent had to charge it after dozens of uses. It is definitely more powerful than my old trimmer. My only gripe is that it will pinch/cut my skin at the bottom of my neck if I do not pull it taught. Im not over the hill yet, so this should not be an issue! I did not have this issue with my old trimmer, possibly due to the differing shape/depth of the blade. Realistically, once I added this step to my trimming routine, I havent had a repeat issue. Nose trimmer works fine as well!

This thing has been the BEST shaver Ive ever had and Ive spent some good money on trimmers. You can charge this one time and it will last all month honostly. Great selection of guards also. I actually use this for shaving because a razor will break me out so this is my go to... Tons of guards come with it literally for anything you would need it for.

More difficult than other Philips razors. Had a cheap one before but could craft an edge easier. This is good quality, heavy, solid, stands up but can be knocked over and a huge thud when it falls. Still works though. Because you stand it up you can knock it over easier. Seems solid. Quite heavy and solid. So far so good. A little more $ but charge lasts longer. Comes with many clip ons. I use one or none. Strong cut too. Only have to pass once or maybe twice. Wont get much on twice though.

Okay, so let me say, I owned a more expensive pair of clippers from the same company that are a couple years old. They had sliders on the guides which did make adoring on the fly easier. However they were also flimsy and I have had the accidental divot in my hair, which sucks. That pair is still going but I wanted something more in tune with fine details as I now have a full beard and not just a goatee. So, onward to this new system. First I notice the tray it cones in is better made. It has a full base so you can just set it in your drawer (the other was short on one side so it didn’t sit flush and part fell out). This shaver does not have the slider adjusting guides but, tbh I prefer this method. It’s a little more effort to swap every guide as needed but it enables a much more clean shave. I found the few I wanted and those stay in the display case while the rest go into the bag they provide and it sits nicely under the case in your drawer. One thing that sets this system apart is the sharpness of the blades. No pulling, it just cuts with ease. (My prior pair cut fine but slow). These cut clean and fast, so you aren’t going so slow you twitch and end up missing a patch of hair. Add to that the silence. I used to do my tweaking early morning when I had company because my prior pair was fairly loud. The first time I used them I warned my company and prepared to have some loud shaving and it was quieter than my toothbrush lol. Very quiet, moreso even than my high end foil shaver. I was impressed. So now let’s discuss the parts. This shaver basically gives you three clipper heads, with multiple spacers for clipping hair or beard. It includes a very small detail trimmer for getting the fine corners and lines just right. (Love that one, enables me to get rid of those annoying hairs right under my nose). It also comes with the typical war and nose trimmer, a small foil shaver (I like the actual capability of this but it did leave some razor burn, I will use it with cream the next time) that really gets rid of the shorter hairs that pop up around your beard edges. Now the look and feel. This is a nice slim shaver. Hefty in your hand as it’s made from metal not plastic. Perfect fit and size to be able to manipulate to come in from those awkward angles. Has clean lines and looks sharp. Something I actually wouldn’t throw in a drawer to hide from sight if I had been using it. Today I tested it on my actual hair, and this thing is easy to wield and handles my hair like it was a hot knife thru butter. I truly enjoy using this system. I kept my other one in case I needed something it had since the approach is completely different in regards to the guides. But I see no reason to do so any longer.

It has an excellent battery life. I appreciate all the guard options. For accessibility sake, the guard lengths should be printed on. It cuts well when you can get the blade to stay on. The biggest gripe I have is that the mechanism used to attach the blade to the trimmer is too weak. It falls off with very little pressure and makes for a frustrating experience.

Could shave a wooly mammoth naked, should the need arise. Only learning process is to choose the right tool for the job.

Excellent except for the lack of labels on the myriad of attachments! An impossible task of selecting the correct attachment - a virtual crapshoot.
