It is a beautifully engineered and constructed tripod mount which is made from high quality materials. I make many low light photographs and have tried other products with unsatisfactory results. This is easy to use, quite sturdy and will likely last for many years to come. Some product just stand out from the crowd, and this is one of them.

This is a high quality, has a spring clamp (that holds the phone) that can be tighten down with the red knob. The black knob tightens the phone clamp. The clamp rotates 360 degrees. The one thing the bothers me, is the spring tension is quite high, and this make holding the phone and trying to open the clamp hard to do at the same time. I wish they made a version of this with no spring or if the spring can be removed. You can get to the spring by removing the bottom clamp using a metric allen wrench, the spring is held in place by a screw, but it is very hard if impossible to loosen the screw.

I like the fact that this tripod adapter is made of metal and not plastic. It seems really sturdy. And the fact that it attached to a tripod with either a screw or the arca-type adapter is really a great idea.

Been using this paired with a camera arm and fluid head to self film hunts. Works almost flawlessly. Very durable unlike 99% of the plastic junk out there. Well worth the investment. However be cautious leaving it attached to fluid head while crashing through the back country. Packaging was great. Also makes the perfect case to transport the mount.

Unlike any of the plastic models out there, this phone mount will last a lifetime. Love it!

I’ve struggled with a lot of the cheap plastic tripod mounts that come with some of the more affordable smart phone tripods. This one not only works beautifully and holds the phone very securely but it’s also very sturdy and aesthetically pleasing. If I ever need to buy another tripod mount I’m going to buy another one of these. The only thing I would say would make it better is if they included some kind of swivel bottom extension so you had that ability to tilt your phone forward or backward and in some other directions other than just switching from portrait to landscape.

Just a quick review to say I concur with previous comments about the terrific precision with which this is built and operates. Dont always grab the right control - red or black part - but Im sure Ill get the hang of it.
