Received this monitor in Jan of 2021. Worked great out of box. Used Displayport at 165hz for about 8mos. Randomly one day monitor kicked over to 60hz. 165, 144, 120hz options are all now gone from my options list. I purchased another almost $60 DP cable to no avail. I found some relief in switching back to hdmi and 144hz. The next issue. I recently upgraded to a 30 series gpu. Make sure every single driver and bios in my computer was updated. Still not functionality of the higher hz options for displayport so i stay with hdmi. The user manual for this specifically shows an update firmware option in the instructions but my firmware version shows 1.0. The update firmware option is simply not present on my monitor. I have now contacted Pixio to see if they can help me out or if I just need to chuck this thing in the trash. Good luck guys and do good research before you buy! Pixio needs better product and firmware support!

TLDR: Had high expectations from the product based on the reviews - but disasspointed with a big dead pixed right out of the box and poor picture/color quality. I am upgrading from a Samsung curved 27 1080p 60Hz curved monitor. So immediately noticed and liked the 1440p resolution. Also the 165Hz refresh rate was very noticeable and performed well with FreeSync (I have a RX 5700XT). However this being an IPS panel the color quality was very poor - compared to my Dell IPS 24 monitor. Colors looked over saturated and lacking depth. My Samsung VA panel had much better color rendition. I tried to adjust via picture settings but didnt help much. Most importantly I ran the dead pixel checks immediately on installation and noticed a big dead pixel right out of the box. This definitely reflects poorly on the quality testing at Pixio. I have owned several monitors in the past from known brands - Dell, Lenovo, Samsung etc - and never had any dead pixel issues. I would have replaced for another piece and would have hoped to get one with no dead pixels - had it not been for the poor color quality. On a positive note - the base and stand are very sturdy. Also liked the joystick OSD controls - which I believe is getting more and more common in this price range. Ultimately - I would not recommend this product to my friends/readers. Better to stick with LG, Dell, Lenovo and in a bit higher price range. I think when it comes to the display panels - you pretty much get what you pay for.

I purchased this monitor to compare it next to the MSI 1080 175Hz. I thought this monitor would be superior. I was wrong. The picture quality looks better because of the higher resolution on my ps5.. but when comparing image quality MSI way way superior. Some people love the fade, VIZIO/Sony look. I like vibriant and deep colors similar to Oled. I feel like the quality wasn’t really there. Hope to do another review later on with other Pixio products.

I have been using two of the monitors for gaming and working at home... All in all its best for work and some gaming. I had a few issues with performance, screen randomly going black. After reseating the display port cable it came back up, but its slightly annoying. But if you need solid screen for gaming and work, I would highly recommend it.

To start off, I never heard of this company. After seeing lots of positive reviews I decided to give them a try. The 3 year warranty along with the price tag was the cherry on top. The monitor had to check off my basics. 1440p, 27inch ips, decent contrast and over 144hz. This monitor exceeded my expectations. There’s no light bleed, slim bezels and the colors look amazing.

2k gaming is the sweet spot, great video quality, 165 hz, and a great price point. My biggest peeve with it is that when there is 2 inputs in and you shut one off. Only been with this for less than a month at the point of writing this but I still recommend it

This monitor was sharp. Picture quality was a bit dark when game mode was selected. No lag, no stutter, no nothing. When it very well made... It was a refurbished monitor and my only problem.....it had no sound and I think thats why it was returned. Awesome

In terms of the actual display Im happy with it, especially at the given price point. The stand is not ideal to me, however. Im not worried about it in terms of sturdiness or stability, it can definitely hold up the screen. But it completely lacks any height adjustment with only a swivel to tilt it up and down. As well as that, the front two legs of the stand jut out very far forward, eating up desk space unnecessarily. The monitor is VESA compatible, so I would highly recommend an alternate mounting solution. Overall the issues with the stand knock a star off for me but in terms of the actual display and panel its great

-OLD- (Pixio PX277 Prime) This monitor looked promising. Plugged it in and it worked for about 5minutes. After that I was hit with No Signal and then Power Saving. The display port on the monitor is faulty. Wiggling the DP cable from the box hasnt worked. Positioning the cable to be taut a certain way hasnt worked either. If youre looking for a 165hz monitor that is STABLE, dont go for this. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -EDITED Dec13,2022- Headline: DISPLAYPORT CABLES Contacted support for the monitor(Pixio PX277 Prime) over the past week. I thought the port in the monitor was faulty. Turns out the monitor came with a DP1.2 which wasnt strong enough to hold a connection. I bought a DP1.4 after consulting them and the issue was solved. When I told them the solution, they offered a partial refund for the cable. Make sure you have the correct cables for your gear. Thanks to PixioSupport for being very thorough.

I needed a decent picture quality with hdr for a budget price. This monitor checked all the boxes, but I will say this, this picture quality itself is a little grainy, but browsing the web, it actually looks good. I would not use this as a primary monitor though, I’ve used a lot of high end monitors and this one is worse than my VA 2018 2k Asus monitor in almost every detail. Overall if you need a decent second monitor for productions or just to keep discord open while you game, it gets the job done, but fork up some more money if you want a good gaming 2k primary monitor.
