Ive had this monitor for nearly a year now, Ive had to get it replaced once already because pixels were stuck on green. They replaced the monitor for me, but it shouldnt be an issue in the first place. The stand is also MASSIVE and takes up way too much space on my desk as well as being very heavy and requiring tools to screw in. Otherwise the monitor is great: fast response time, great color depth, dark blacks, high fps.

I own 3 Pixio monitors: 2 PX277s and a PX275h and love all 3. As with all of them, the quality is simply outstanding for the price and blow away any of the value brand monitors Ive used. I initially bought the first one for gaming. Later, after building out a home office, I become frustrated by the quality of many of the office-quality monitors I tried and decided to spend a little extra on two PX277s. It was well worth the small amount extra I paid. Brightness, contrast, color and refresh rates and all well suited to high gaming. Overall picture quality is outstanding, even at awkward angles. The joystick selector for configuring the monitor is also very well designed and works well if you wish to switch between different inputs quickly. Only major gripe I have for this monitor are w/ bases: the longgg, sharp point feet are extremely awkward and the base itself offers no adjustment whatsoever. I ended up ditching the bases for a set of adjustable stands I bought off amazon and the combination worked out very well.

I had a asus 1080p 144hz TN monitor from 2019? For everything Pixio offers with this, the monitor has been great for my first 1440p 165hz Freesync/Gsync monitor. My asus “gaming monitor” was almost the same price new from retail and is still being sold.

TLDR: Had high expectations from the product based on the reviews - but disasspointed with a big dead pixed right out of the box and poor picture/color quality. I am upgrading from a Samsung curved 27 1080p 60Hz curved monitor. So immediately noticed and liked the 1440p resolution. Also the 165Hz refresh rate was very noticeable and performed well with FreeSync (I have a RX 5700XT). However this being an IPS panel the color quality was very poor - compared to my Dell IPS 24 monitor. Colors looked over saturated and lacking depth. My Samsung VA panel had much better color rendition. I tried to adjust via picture settings but didnt help much. Most importantly I ran the dead pixel checks immediately on installation and noticed a big dead pixel right out of the box. This definitely reflects poorly on the quality testing at Pixio. I have owned several monitors in the past from known brands - Dell, Lenovo, Samsung etc - and never had any dead pixel issues. I would have replaced for another piece and would have hoped to get one with no dead pixels - had it not been for the poor color quality. On a positive note - the base and stand are very sturdy. Also liked the joystick OSD controls - which I believe is getting more and more common in this price range. Ultimately - I would not recommend this product to my friends/readers. Better to stick with LG, Dell, Lenovo and in a bit higher price range. I think when it comes to the display panels - you pretty much get what you pay for.

Would be 5 stars if the stand wasnt the heaviest/biggest part of this monitor. Graphics wise they hit the nail on the head. Rgb light isnt controllable other than on & off (unless I am stupid). The stand legs take up 60% of my desk my desk is 64×64x28 I think. If your cramped for space wall mount or find a different monitor. If on console youll be fine.

I love the colors of this is display. Refresh rate is great. Cons: cant have free sync or nvidias adaptive sync and HDR enabled at the same time or it washes out colors really bad. Also free sync on this monitor doesnt keep the refresh at 165hz. It will turn the screen black and lower refresh while playing games gets pretty annoying. Edit: after reading through some others reviews I discovered that there is a way to get free sync and HDR working together without the screen blanking out. You have to download the program CRU custom resolution utility and change rhe free sync range from 48-165 to 50-165 and the monitor functions will work as expected.

2k gaming is the sweet spot, great video quality, 165 hz, and a great price point. My biggest peeve with it is that when there is 2 inputs in and you shut one off. Only been with this for less than a month at the point of writing this but I still recommend it

Does everything that the review said. HDR works, 1440p, 165hz. Love the picture quality. Was on the fence between this and a 4k... but i want to run everything on Ultra settings and I only have a 3070. So far the card does ultra at 1440p perfectly @165hz. I have 4k tvs for movies - im not as concerned on a 27 inch monitor. I had an LG ips and this is FAR brighter and smoother. stand does not adjust up and down, and the settings are controlled by a little joystick on the back of the screen - which took some getting used to.

The PX278 does not have built-in speakers. If you want to use the monitor as an audio source, you will need to plug in headphones or external speakers to the monitors 3.5mm headphone jack on the back.
