The PX278 does not have built-in speakers. If you want to use the monitor as an audio source, you will need to plug in headphones or external speakers to the monitors 3.5mm headphone jack on the back.

No dead pixels and works well for gaming. For a 27in 1440p 165hz monitor, this is a great option for the price. Be sure to select the IPS version (rather than the TN version). I use this for both gaming and work and am happy with it.

Purchased the PX278 1440p 144Hz. The monitor has no buttons. Just simple plug and play. It powers on/off and switches inputs with the connected devices automatically. Incredible performance, but with the lack of image settings causes the visuals to lack in contrast and colors with some devices.

For the price, this monitor is truly impressive. I returned a 25 1080p 240hz IPS Monitor ($400) after I tested this Pixio beside it. First, the Pixios pixel density (PPI) is good around 32-34 away from the screen and I was unable to spot the screen door effect. I also found the colors to be vibrant after some minor calibration and a slight saturation boost via my AMD Software. For gaming, the Freesync and motion blur performance was great. No problems. Also, black light bleed was very minimal and I did not notice it while surfing the net or playing games. Lastly, the monitor stand and speakers are trash but I expected that. I had no issues mounting the Pixio on a universal monitor stand. Link Below :) Overall, I am happy with my purchase and plan on keeping it. The Pixio Prime is a solid pickup if youre looking to have a solid viewing experience. I picked up two (for consistency) for work/entertainment purposes and I must say - THIS IS A STEAL! Pros: Very affordable - most monitors with these specs are in the low $500s Nearly bezel less screen Comes with; a stand, DP cord, and easy to follow instructions Lightweight Cons: Will need to play around with the settings - for some reason one screen was 165hz and the other was 60 No speakers - but who shops for monitors looking for speakers? Stands are solid but you cannot adjust the screen height - simple solution would be to get a monitor stand thats adjustable Overall if youre in the market for a cost efficient screen for gaming & work - look no further!

I bought this monitor having never used a high refresh rate screen before. Though my experience is limited I would recommend buying this as a budget option for 144hz gaming. CSGO is a dream to play, Warzone is a lot more fluid, and even story based games like Hitman 2 benefit from increased fluidity. Gaming is absolutely great for the money you pay. It also includes Free sync which both GeForce and Radeon cards can use with a range from 48 to 144, great addition for higher fidelity games. Desktop use is good as well, though I have found that there can be some ghosting if I leave the overdrive function on (only for the max setting) for desktop. It is minimal for my panel. That is made up by the colors. Since it is IPS colors look great, almost as great as my Lenovo IPS I edit on. The monitor stand is sourda bad, too small and short. But there are VESA mounts. Speakers are hot trash but you are probably using headphones. Great monitor for the price, if your gpu can push the frames go for it!

Going from 1080p 144hz to 1440p 165hz was definitely noticeable. FOR THE BETTER. I know average joe reviews help me throughout the buying process, so I hope this helps some of you out there make a decision on whether or not this monitor is for you! I’ve had the same AOC G2590FX for about 1.5yrs. Been a great monitor, but I started to have considerable difficulty recognizing objects at distance (specifically Warzone). Decided it was time to jump up to 1440p for the pixel density and clarity. I am beyond impressed. Although the PX277 Prime isn’t the cheapest 1440p monitor out there, the current price, performance, and features set it apart from the rest for me. I was looking for a Viewsonic VX2758-2KP-MHD, but all three of my orders fell through. Then wanted the PX7 Prime but couldn’t get that in stock within my desired timeline. Soooo long story short I initially selected the PX277 Prime simply because it was the best monitor (based off advertised stats) that I could find available. Initial impressions: color out of the box was too warm, bit under saturated, and not bright enough. I made some simple tweaks and immediately had it exactly where I wanted it. (My settings are in the associated pics). All colors seem true, blacks and gray areas appear very uniform, and refresh rate/input response are more than adequate for FPS. I don’t have any hardware that will provide official results, but my average gamer eyes (Warzone and MW multiplayer exclusively) are beyond pleased. I have no difference in reaction time/ performance than I had while playing at 1080p. If anything, my awareness is enhanced due to the clarity and fidelity of textures as well as my ability to see farther/identify objects at distance. If you’re on a budget, this is a great option. Can’t say it’s the best because I haven’t tried any other 1440p monitors, but based off available reviews online for comparable monitors in this price range The PX277 Prime’s performance is top notch based off my experience. After a series of shipping mishaps with USPS, my package was declared ‘lost’ and I was issued a refund. However the monitor ended up showing up at my place later, so I had the refund and the monitor. Of course the right thing to do is let someone know that I did in fact receive the monitor, but upon setting up the monitor I was motivated to immediately call Amazon because the quality was that good. Of course Amazon could take the loss, but Pixio deserved every penny for the quality it delivered. Great color, no dead pixels, minimal glow, good response times. A simple design, minimal adjustability, but if you really care about that then get a VESA mount, I think a devoted monitor stand doesn’t need to do much. It’s super bright for me, I keep it at 10 brightness (out of 100). I’ve hooked it up to a PC and a Xbox series x, works out of the box with either at maximum refresh rate.

The monitor worked well and looked pretty good for 13 months. The price was not bad at under $300 for the given specs. I only ran it at 120hz (for longevity...), but it still kicked the bucket way too early. Ill probably spend a little extra and get a higher quality monitor for my next purchase. Thanx a bunch Pixio.

On a black screen I notice some edge bleed on this monitor, when actually using it I forget about it right away. Overall its a great gaming monitor for the price
