> 3 dayGoing from 1080p 144hz to 1440p 165hz was definitely noticeable. FOR THE BETTER. I know average joe reviews help me throughout the buying process, so I hope this helps some of you out there make a decision on whether or not this monitor is for you! I’ve had the same AOC G2590FX for about 1.5yrs. Been a great monitor, but I started to have considerable difficulty recognizing objects at distance (specifically Warzone). Decided it was time to jump up to 1440p for the pixel density and clarity. I am beyond impressed. Although the PX277 Prime isn’t the cheapest 1440p monitor out there, the current price, performance, and features set it apart from the rest for me. I was looking for a Viewsonic VX2758-2KP-MHD, but all three of my orders fell through. Then wanted the PX7 Prime but couldn’t get that in stock within my desired timeline. Soooo long story short I initially selected the PX277 Prime simply because it was the best monitor (based off advertised stats) that I could find available. Initial impressions: color out of the box was too warm, bit under saturated, and not bright enough. I made some simple tweaks and immediately had it exactly where I wanted it. (My settings are in the associated pics). All colors seem true, blacks and gray areas appear very uniform, and refresh rate/input response are more than adequate for FPS. I don’t have any hardware that will provide official results, but my average gamer eyes (Warzone and MW multiplayer exclusively) are beyond pleased. I have no difference in reaction time/ performance than I had while playing at 1080p. If anything, my awareness is enhanced due to the clarity and fidelity of textures as well as my ability to see farther/identify objects at distance. If you’re on a budget, this is a great option. Can’t say it’s the best because I haven’t tried any other 1440p monitors, but based off available reviews online for comparable monitors in this price range The PX277 Prime’s performance is top notch based off my experience. (Model as of September 2020)

> 3 dayDoes everything you would expect with a really good price point and going from 60hz to 165hz is very noticeable. In mouse movement and aiming in FPS.

> 3 dayThe colors were awful when compared to a gigabyte g24f, while yes, it may be bad to compare a 24 and 27 inch monitor, but I was using a dual setup, and the differences were night and day. After messing with all the monitor settings, I could not get the images to be sharp as I’d like it to be and no matter what, the colors always were a little off than what it’s supposed to be. For example, black looks blue and white looks more blue as well, red looks more orange, etc. At this price range, you can get a better gaming monitor.

Greater than one weekReceived this monitor in Jan of 2021. Worked great out of box. Used Displayport at 165hz for about 8mos. Randomly one day monitor kicked over to 60hz. 165, 144, 120hz options are all now gone from my options list. I purchased another almost $60 DP cable to no avail. I found some relief in switching back to hdmi and 144hz. The next issue. I recently upgraded to a 30 series gpu. Make sure every single driver and bios in my computer was updated. Still not functionality of the higher hz options for displayport so i stay with hdmi. The user manual for this specifically shows an update firmware option in the instructions but my firmware version shows 1.0. The update firmware option is simply not present on my monitor. I have now contacted Pixio to see if they can help me out or if I just need to chuck this thing in the trash. Good luck guys and do good research before you buy! Pixio needs better product and firmware support!

Greater than one week2k gaming is the sweet spot, great video quality, 165 hz, and a great price point. My biggest peeve with it is that when there is 2 inputs in and you shut one off. Only been with this for less than a month at the point of writing this but I still recommend it

> 3 dayI dont have too much experience with gaming monitors. Prior to this purchase Ive owned a couple of FHD 144hz gaming monitors. Colors and contrast on those things made competitive gaming easier but design work was horrible. After watching and reading a number of reviews I thought Id give this Pixio a shot to go along with my PC build. This monitor checks soo boxes. It was simple to connect and navigate the menus. The color calibration out of the box is the best Ive seen compared to this displays weve had at the office. The color temperature is slightly cool by default which was easily adjusted to my taste. I know viewing angles are import to some people. I dont understand... what crazy angles are you look at a desktop monitor from? In any case even at extreme angle colors still look great. The extra screen real estate bumping the resolution up to 2k has been quite helpful for design work as well. Now on to gaming. Its a great experience. If your pc rig can push 140+FPS at 1440p this monitor has to be the best option under $300usd. There are also built in gamer related OSDs you can enable like a timer, framerate counter, and crosshairs if thats your thing. Its a great monitor. You cant go wrong this one. ***Some things to note*** - The stand is not most robust. It only has an pitch rotate. So depending on how important ergonomics are to you, you might would want to consider purchasing a monitor arm. - If you plan to run the monitor at 1080p, YOU WILL want to adjust the Overdrive settings to high. I noticed a crazy amount of ghosting at 1080p 60fps until I adjusted the Overdrive.
