Playtex Diaper Genie Refill (810 Count Total - 3 Pack of 270 Each)

It is exactly what you find in stores like Walmart, and it works just the same. When I bought this at Amazon, it cost roughly the same as Walmart (may be a few cents less). It ships free with 2-day shipping as well. I bought it here mostly because I like amazon, and the shopping here in general. I have diaper genie elite as well as the twistaway model. Having used both for a couple of years now, I would say dont bother with twistaway model, it just isnt worth that 10$ you save initially. It is much harder to use, and in my experience runs out of cartridge much sooner. The elite system is much simpler to use with just one hand.

It does not hold anywhere near as many as it says.

This product is a must have for any one with a baby in diapers. i only strated using it when my baby was older and it made such a difference in the aroma of our home:)

I would give this more stars but lets be real, I just always am left wanting more trash bag action for less monies! Also they dont do the best job at keeping the smell in, so theres that.

We got the diaper genie in hopes to keep the smell down from the dirty diapers. The concept works ok, but these refills dont last very long. We get 3-4 bags of diapers out of each refill before its out. We even try to compact each bag as small as possible to get the maximum use out of it. At $6-$7 per refill I find it to be a pretty ridiculous amount of money to pay for some plastic where I could re-use old grocery bags for free in a regular trash can with a lid that does an equally good job at keeping smell down. I would not recommend going with the Diaper Genie due to having to buy these refills at such a high price. Amazon does help a little with the Subscribe and Save program, but even then its more than its worth. Just buy a trash can with a lid that closes well and use grocery bags. Otherwise youd be spending about $100 on these a year when you could have spent $0 with a more conventional trash can.

Too expensive

This is exactly what is ordered. It works great, has an indicator to warn that it is near the end and the best thing is that it seals in the smell so it doesnt take over the house.

This is the least expensive that Ive found them and when you subscribe and save - its a great deal!!!

Seriously, we use this to dump the kitty poop from the litter box and it works great. Contains the poop and the odor and makes cleanup easy and reasonably sanitary.

Just have to share...I read a recommendation that suggested skipped these refills and just putting a regular plastic trash bag in the Diaper Genie wrapped around a leftover refill cartridge to hold it in place. My hubbie and I were patting outselves on the back at money saving scheme until we realized that are usual garbage bags were too thick to allow the inner Genie mechanism to seal off the dirty diaper compartment. BAD PLAN. Very stinky little girls room! Needless to say we went back to the Genie refills which are thin enough (yet sturdy enough) to allow for the proper seal, and are glad to be smelling our little girl rather then her diapers :-)
