> 3 dayI am primarily using this a a power cord for charging laptops, and have only used it once for data transfer. The diameter of this cable is larger than many other USB-C cables I have. Which makes it robust, but also a little stiffer.

> 3 dayThis is a good Thunderbolt cable. The right cable makes a huge difference when you’re dealing with data as opposed to just for charging. I have an external RAID drive that has a USB-C interface and I just used a USB-C cable I had laying around. The transfer speeds were disappointingly slow and I thought it was the RAID hardware. I decided to swap out the cable with this one— and what a difference! Previously I was maxing out at 30MB read/write, now I’m getting up to 250MB, which is more like what I was expecting. (Thunderbolt can go faster, but the RAID is only rated for USB 3 speeds).

Greater than one weekUSB type C cables are are no longer simple and interchangeable. Design, specifications, and build quality are all important, and all factors in the pricetag, too.

24-11-2024Plugable is a pretty well known US brand so I am not surprised that this cables is more expensive compared to other similar cables. If my memory serve me right they are in Redmond Washington. The cable is not made in the USA though, its like everything else; its designed in the US but made in China. Anyway, when I start going for cables in the 100W and up, its pretty important that I get well tested cables. I obviously have nothing that takes 240W so getting this is more for future proofing.

> 3 dayAfter using my MacBook M1 Air more and more, I realized how important it is to have at least one really, really nice cable. This is that cable to me. I love it because it is never the bottleneck to anything. It can handle way more charge than any of my chargers, more speed than any of my devices, and its a super strong Thunderbolt cable, adding so much flexibility. You never have to second guess its abilities. The plugs are great and secure, the cable is strong, and the look is good. This is all around just an absolute beast of a cable, and its so nice to have around.

> 3 dayMy partner has used this for now for just over a month and he’s had no issues with it and it works well for what he uses it for. I don’t use these things as my partner does anything like this for me and the kids but i do know that if he had any issue with it he would let me know.

> 3 dayThis is a very nice Thunderbolt 4 cable capable of performing several duties, going above and beyond your standard USB-C cable. This cable supports high data transfer speeds and huge power numbers for charging your laptop and suitable devices. You can run two 4k displays via a hub, transfer data to and from an hard drive and of course use this to charge any device up to 240W. The build quality is great. The cable is solid and well constructed and will certainly last a lot longer than cheaper, pliable cables. This also offers quite a bit of future-proofing so that this one cable will remain useful for some time.
