> 3 dayI own several Apple products, including a few computers, so I always have a need for Thunderbolt cables. I use them both as monitor cables and to connect fast external SSD drives to my computers. I already have Thunderbolt cables from Apple, Belkin, and Cable Matters. Those cables have all worked great, but they are also very expensive. This cable from Plugable is much more affordable, but the quality is just as good as the more expensive ones from what I can tell so far. The speed when connecting external hard drives to my Mac is just as good. I have also used other products made by Plugable before, so I expected the quality to be excellent based on that previous experience. If you need a quality Thunderbolt cable, but you dont want to spend a ridiculous amount of money, I highly recommend this one.

> 3 dayPlugable is a pretty well known US brand so I am not surprised that this cables is more expensive compared to other similar cables. If my memory serve me right they are in Redmond Washington. The cable is not made in the USA though, its like everything else; its designed in the US but made in China. Anyway, when I start going for cables in the 100W and up, its pretty important that I get well tested cables. I obviously have nothing that takes 240W so getting this is more for future proofing.

01-06-2025Works exactly as expected, quality product. Very fast charging with no issues. Note this package just includes the charging cable, you will need to have your own plug-in unit base to plug into a standard wall outlet.

> 3 dayAt first this cable might seem expensive compared to other Thunderbolt/USB4 cables you might look at BUT there is no guarantee other cables will support anything you throw at them and at full speed. Heck, even if they claim to be TB4/USB4 but from a brand youve never heard of, you might not be getting what you expect. Relying on a bum cable to interconnect expensive equipment just doesnt make sense.

04-06-2025I did not have any connectivity issues using this cable with my NVMe SSD enclosure; I appreciate that the cable length is longer and my enclosure does not hang off the short OEM USB-C cable anymore. While backing up data, I can get a consistent 900-1000 Mbps transfer with this cable on a 10Gbps port.
