Im loving that these Thunderbolt cables are coming down in price so much lately. Not too long ago this would have been a $60 cable.

I have a GPU box connected to my laptop using TB4. It works surprisingly well, and I actually use that GPU enclosure for two generations of laptop with a GTX 2080ti. The stock USB 4.0 cable that came with the enclosure slowly started having problems, mostly with resolution memory and random flickering, but only at load. This replacement Plugable USB-C cable provides full features such as ethernet, keyboard, mouse and a 4k 120hz monitor. Allows me to plug in one cable and be ready immediately.

This 1m USB4 cable does not look anything special as there is no nylon braiding and the USB type C housings appear to be plastic.

Plugable is a pretty well known US brand so I am not surprised that this cables is more expensive compared to other similar cables. If my memory serve me right they are in Redmond Washington. The cable is not made in the USA though, its like everything else; its designed in the US but made in China. Anyway, when I start going for cables in the 100W and up, its pretty important that I get well tested cables. I obviously have nothing that takes 240W so getting this is more for future proofing.

I did not have any connectivity issues using this cable with my NVMe SSD enclosure; I appreciate that the cable length is longer and my enclosure does not hang off the short OEM USB-C cable anymore. While backing up data, I can get a consistent 900-1000 Mbps transfer with this cable on a 10Gbps port.

This phone cable works well. Is it barely 4 feet long so feet so make sure you know what you are getting, in case you need longer. This cable can handle all the transfer needs you have. It is a bit expensive but built pretty well and feels very hefty in the hands. I posted a video to illustrate the length if the cable as it is on the short side.

I am impressed with the quality of this cable. I primarily purchased this cable to replace the extremely short cable that came with my docking station. I needed something significantly longer. This cable powers two monitors and two external hard drives and charges my laptop. I liked it so well that I bought a second cable for a different desk.

I use this as a charging cable for my macbook pro, S21 Ultra, and as a data transfer cable and good lord is it fast. It fast charges my macbook (max charging capacity), it super fast charges my S21 Ultra (max charging capacity) and I use it to transfer large video data to and from a 5TB hard drive into google drive for editing. This cord is thick, it feels well made and and clicks into my devices perfectly, its actually quite satisfying. Its just long enough for what I use it for and doesnt heat up or any other issues when using it for 12+ hours.
