> 3 dayHoenn was never my favorite of the Pokemon regions. The remakes, while containing wonderful graphics, some really entertaining new mechanics, and an ever-present nostalgia factor, left me a little bored. I didnt have that urge that I just couldnt put the game down. Its been out for 3 months now, and Im just now getting around to finishing up the Elite Four and embarking on post-game. There are weeks that will go by without me even picking this game up. Its not something specific about the game that turns me off - there are just other things, other games, that Id just rather play more. That being said, technically, this game is the best one to date. Encountering Pokemon in the actual world, and being able to sneak up on them, is a real blast. I also like the addition of the DexNav, which for a completionist like me, allows me to keep track of what Pokemon Ive encountered on a route and how many of those Ive managed to catch. The addition of overworld flying on Latios/Latias is actually pretty cool, and bring the idea of flying from place to place to a whole new level. There were also more story line additions this game, with cut scenes that broke away from the character sprite to give the game a bit more world feel - not everything occurs right in front of you. I dont know how thrilled I am about being able to catch every legend - on the one hand, I think its a great idea to make everyone feel like there is plenty to keep them engrossed in the game. Legends arent just for hardcore Pokemon gamers (which I am not). But, they kind of feel like they lose their special qualities when I know everyone is going to have them. Overall, I give the game 4 stars, because I still want to finish it. I just dont enjoy it enough to sit there for 4-6 hours a day, grinding through the game as fast as I can to see what happens next. I do think, however, that they added enough to keep it interesting, and Im excited to see what is next for the franchise that I have (literally) grown up with.

> 3 dayIm happy and excited to get this physical copy, but I intentionally chose this option which was priced $6 higher than the world edition copy. I thought I was paying a bit more to get the NA edition, since theres no world edition circle on the image for this posting. Im not returning it since $6 isnt a huge difference, but Im disappointed for not getting the NA version.

> 3 dayThis game is just plain fun. It is evocative of the old game which it honours and kept everything that made it great. Its wonderful to be able to go and make a secret base again, and to have fun with the contests, and pick berries (although the repetitive unskippable dialogs for some of these things make it tedious sometimes, but that is a problem with pokemon games in general, and a rather minor one). It is incredibly fun to explore Hoenn again and the new mechanics such as Mega-evolution and wonder trade are very fun. There is plenty to do, and, take this as you will, you dont realise just how long youve been playing until you check the clock. Pokemon earned their five stars on this one.

> 3 dayPokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are enhanced remakes of the original Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire, which released on the Game Boy Advance 11 years ago. A few necessary changes have been made to the original versions to keep up with the newer generations, and some additional features have been added to give the games a fresh feeling to veteran players. DIFFERENCES BETWEEN ALPHA SAPPHIRE AND OMEGA RUBY Like usual, two versions of the same game are available. Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are nearly identical; however, there are a few differences between the two that are larger than most alternate versions. The biggest alteration between the two versions is the main antagonist team. In Pokemon Omega Ruby, Team Magma will be the primary team you encounter throughout Hoenn. In Pokemon Alpha Sapphire, Team Aqua will be the primary team you encounter throughout Hoenn. VERSION EXCLUSIVE POKEMON In addition to slight story changes, select Pokemon will only be available in one of the versions. These version exclusive Pokemon are usually made to promote trading between players. All players can trade over wi-fi between X, Y, Omega Ruby, and Alpha Sapphire immediately after obtaining the Pokedex and installing the Player Search System app on the PokeNav Plus. Omega Ruby Exclusives--- Alpha Sapphire Exclusives Groudon ------------- Kyogre Latios ------------- Latias Mawile --------------- Sableye Seedot ---------------- Lotad Nuzleaf ---------------- Lombre Shiftry --------------- Ludicolo Solrock --------------- Lunatone Zangoose --------------Seviper Ho-Oh (Mirage Spots) --- Lugia (Mirage Spots) Palkia (Mirage Spots) --- Dialga (Mirage Spots) Reshiram (Mirage Spots)--- Zekrom (Mirage Spots) Tornadus (Mirage Spots)---- Thundurus (Mirage Spots) Kabuto (Fossils) --------- Omanyte (Fossils) Shieldon (Fossils) -------Cranidos (Fossils) Archen (Fossils) ------------ Tirtouga (Fossils) Skrelp (After Groudon)----------- Clauncher (After Kyogre) Throh (After Groudon) ------------ Sawk (After Kyogre) Mega Stones will not be version exclusive, but the locations of a handful of Mega Stones will change depending on the version. Also the looks of certian Mega-Evolved Pokemon will change depending on which version you have. Hope this helps anyone out!

> 3 dayI get to re-live my childhood once again! When I was little, Pokemon Sapphire was my first game (my little sister had Pokemon Ruby) and now I get to play the remake in a whole new way! I just like everything about this remake and I also like the feature that you can join with others online at anytime instead of being interrupted during your gameplay (that happens when you play Pokemon X & Y). The gameplay redesign is fantastic and I love that you can interact with your pocket monsters & I also like that the Exp. Share works with all the Pokemon in your party (makes training a whole lot easier). This game is definitely worth getting and I would also suggest getting the guide book too. Tons of fun! Way to go Nintendo! Now lets see a 3DS release of Pokemon Yellow.

Greater than one weekA great remake of the famous third generation Pokemon games. While I have tried to keep spoilers to a minimum, there are a few mild, spoilers below. Nothing plot-ruining, but nonetheless spoilers. Pros ~New overworld graphics ~New moves and move graphics ~Can have both bikes ~New mega-evolutions ~Delta episode ~New and updated NPC text ~Tie-ins to XY and Mega-Evolutions ~Contests ~New Surfing abilities ~Soaring in the Sky Cons ~Double battles and horde battles not in 3D ~No character customization -The Delta Episode is a playable instance after you have beat the Elite Four, and is seemingly the spiritual successor to Pokemon Emerald. It has a never before seen story that helps fill in the background of Mega-Evolution. It allows you to catch Rayquaza and Deoxys. -Contests make a return in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. They are optional and have their own small story line. -Several old characters are fleshed out. May/Brendan become more like teenager girls/boys than a stiff uncaring NPC. Steven Stones history and personal life is told in greater detail, giving us a better look into the Hoenn Champions mind. The leaders and admins of Team Aqua/Magma have distinct personalities and stories that are both intriguing and appealing. We learn a little bit more about Wallace, the gym leader of Sootopolis City and his connection to the Cave of Origins and Rayquazas Tower. Wally becomes an interesting character instead of a tedious side note. -Once you meet Latios/Latias and recieve the Eon Flute you can call upon one of them to ride anywhere in Hoenn. We have all wished to have an actual flying mechanic in the Pokemon games and now we have it. -A lot of the legendary Pokemon can be unlocked and captured through mysterious portals. There is a lot more to say and not much time or space to say it. All in all Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, are in my opinion, one of the if not the best Pokemon games ever made. It is a beautiful remake, with both new and recurring mechanics that blend together into a game that entices both the old Pokemon players and the new. It is both fresh and nostalgic allowing for tons of hours of play-through even for those who played the originals (I put over 500 hours into Pokemon Emerald over the years, in the past few weeks I have already put over 50 hours into Alpha Sapphire and intend to put a lot more).

> 3 dayWhat can be said about this game? Well, for a starter Ill preface that even though its a remake, its one of the best games Ive ever played in my life, if not the best. The story is still classic, it takes a lot of influence from the original Sapphire game but updates it a little, giving new, impressive designs to the characters and making them even more memorable than before. Every single one has a distinct personality and its wonderful to see these characters grow and change. New characters have been added too, as well as a brand new arc at the end of the game, after youve beaten the champion. That story was so game-changing it really solidified the game for me. Let me put the new content like this: you get to capture Rayquaza, Mega Evolve him, ridE HIM INTO SPACE AND USE HIM TO DESTROY A METEOR THATS HEADING FOR THE EARTH AND HOLY WOW HOW MUCH COOLER DOES IT GET THAN THAT?? This is one of the times where the 3D capabilities of the 3DS has been really great, really functional, and it isnt used 24/7 so it doesnt make your head hurt. The graphics are cute and appealing and amazingly well detailed. Its a beautiful game. It really, really is. The grass ripples in the wind, the waters beautifully done (and for a game centered around water thats pretty important!), the space scene is absolutely breathtaking. When you battle your Pokemon under some conditions it adds special effects like raindrops falling on the touch screen, its a nice touch really. You can tell how much effort the designers must have put into it its a really, really well put together game. The music was one of the best parts for me. Hearing that nostalgic tune modernised for the new technology took my breath away and, Im gonna be completely honest here, I cried at the beginning when the game started (purely nostalgia) and when the game ended. Twice. The music is so moving and it works so well with whats going on. Game wants you to feel pumped? The scores loaded with electric guitars and sic tunes. Game wants you to feel nervous? Violins and tense tunes. Game wants you to feel warm, cosy and comfortable? I didnt think it was possible to improve the original Littleroot theme, but I was proven so, so wrong. Its gorgeous. The overall feel I got from this game was that it was a lot more thought through than the other games in its generation (X&Y), it felt a lot more linear but without feeling limited. Theres so much to do but at no point do you feel overwhelmed, you can take it all at your own pace, whether you wanna challenge the gym, enter a contest or just play with your Pokemon in Pokemon Amie, a feature which I am so, so grateful they kept in the game. I really cannot overstate the little things in this game enough, just the smallest nuances that make you feel all warm and happy inside, seeing the characters you undoubtedly fall in love with learn and grow and go through emotions (if you dont think I cried when Archie cried youre mistaken) its just a smorgasbord of good writing, good programming and good game design. A perfect example of how to properly and perfectly remake a game. IN CONCLUSION: DO YOU LIKE POKEMON? YES? BUY THIS GAME. HAVE YOU NEVER PLAYED POKEMON? YES? GOOD, BUY THIS GAME AND JOIN THE HYPE. THIS GAME IS FUN AND GORGEOUS AND EMOTIONAL AND UTTER PERFECTION AND I WILL BE PLAYING IT FOR YEARS TO COME. THANK YOU GAME FREAK ♥♥♥
