Pokémon Ultra Moon - Nintendo 3DS

If you liked Ultra Sun/Moon then you will definitely like this. As long-time players of Pokemon know, this is not a completely revolutionary game but rather an extension/rework of the previous game (Ultra Moon). Thus it serves more as an upgrade/what Ultra Moon should have been, but it is still fun nonetheless. Im still playing on my original 3DS and, like in Ultra Moon, the battles and cutscenes tend to lag a bunch. Double battles are extremely painful to sit through (it might be time for me to upgrade my DS).

Compared to Sun/Moon, ULTRA Sun and Moon offers some differences. This can include new characters, more pokemon, a photo club (basically take pictures of your character and one pokemon, and you can do poses and add stickers, etc.), and more. There are also some differences in story, as well as added extras that can be unlocked after different points (story extras). Id have to give it a 10/10.

Okay, so let me start by saying that if you own Pokemon Sun/Moon, then Ultra Sun/Moon doesnt have much more to offer. There are a few changes that does help a lot, and that includes seeing Pokemon out in the wild just living their peaceful lives while you go about your adventure. The changes in the story make things feel a bit fresher, and the post game story feels a bit simple, but its quite fun going through the Rainbow Rockets, whom are actually pretty tough, and quite funny to read their dialogues. Giovanni is a true badass though, but sadly that story is left inconclusive. There are other additions like buildings that were under construction in Sun/Moon, are now Picture Clubs or Surf Shacks in Ultra Sun.Moon. The Mantine surfing is also fun, to a certain degree, though it is hard to unlock new moves for higher scores. Overall, I do not like the game, but I do not dislike it either. I would, however, recommend it to someone that has not played the original Sun/Moon games, or to someone that really loves the franchise.

4stars because, yeah Pokemon is and has always been great. I feel like in this game, and Sun and Moon that the Pokémon company guides you through everything. It’s all given to you with no challenge. The older games made you think to solve its puzzles. That is my only major complaint about this game, other than that I love the game. That one thing isn’t going to stop me from going to get the next game when it comes out.

The game was very close to the regular sun and moon. The big difference was all the legendarys you can get. The only problem I found with all the legendarys, was the annoying minigame you would have to play over and over for only a slim chance of finding one of the legendarys at random. Because of that, I was borderline gonna give this game a 3 star. I am a pokemon lover, so I still enjoyed playing the game again and experience the post-game episode which was very fun in my opinion.

Delightful game! I feel transported to Alola when I play. I always play Pokemon games many times through, and this remake makes it even more fun than usual to play through the Alola region again. I chose Ultra Moon this time, and had played Sun last year. I think Im spending even more time playing this version through!

The game play is really fun but a lot of my friends ( myself included ) that this could have easily been a DLC to buy rather than its own game.

I went to gamestop looking for this 3 year old game to see if I could get a deal, and they were selling it used for 38. Just 2 dollars off the original 2017 price. So of course I went here and got a NEW copy for about 32. A few days later the price here dropped again down to 30 but thats ok. They told me it would get here Monday and it arrived Friday, just 2 days after I ordered it. And the shipping was free. Be aware that it is very similar to the first Sun and Moon games, but the ultra versions are just plain better. If you have to choose one to play, pick ultra.

Honestly I have an issue with Pokémon games I buy like one of each but with ultra sun and moon I have like 6 copies of each. Don’t know how or why but I do

I pre ordered through amazon and was hesitant to finally sitting down to play the game since there are so many negative reviews but i just have to say its still pretty good its the same exact story they just changed it a little bit here and there and added new stuff seems more like an upgraded/remake of the first ones (like pokemon platinum) it is worth the money cuz pokemon games r always like this idk y people r complaining about it. Maybe they just released the games too early? But o well im extremely happy with my purchase of the game Would rate it more stars if i can :)
