These games are some of my favourite from the franchise. I remember spending all of 2017 summer playing the original moon and all of 2018 holidays playing newly released ultra sun. The games themselves are great improvements on the originals, and if you played the originals and are wondering if these are worth it, Ill tell you right now that they are! These games are better than every pokemon game on the switch for me at least, and yes, that includes bdsp and legends arceus! Now for those of you who are curious about the version (World/UAE edition or North American). In short, nintendo have officially stopped making any games new or old for these devices earlier this year. Amazon in the last few years has also started to support third party providers for their products. This means that unless you are getting your game from a third party who somehow has these games new in North America, you will almost always get the UAE/World edition... What does this mean? Almost nothing! The game performs the exact same as a North American copy (assuming you have a NA 3ds/2ds/3ds xl/2ds xl). The only difference you will see is on the box art of the game case. It will have a little circle with UAE countries in it, but that is all! In simpler words... If you are seeing if these games are good or want to play them, this is a great purchase, but if you are a collector who wants a NA branded game case, this might not be the one for you.

I played through the game expecting only a few minor changes from the original Sun/Moon, like the types of Pokemon you can encounter. What I didnt expect was a bunch of changes to the story and post-game story, as well as new minigames. The characterization of your NPC friends is done much better in this game as well, which makes playing through the story more enjoyable than the first. Its definitely worth picking up if you enjoyed the original SuMo.

Sigh. The more and more Im playing it the more Im realizing what a cash grab these releases were. Im sure the post game content will be great but for someone whos still trudging along through the main story it feels like deja vu from Sun and Moon. Speaking of the main story, its soooooo slow. I also keep waiting for something different to happen but honestly there isnt much. Sure, theres tweaks/small improvements here and there along the way but nothing that makes you go WOW! Anyways, for veterans of the series the word disappointing is an understatement. However, for newbies looking to get into the series and not experiencing Alola yet I would definitely recommend it. I just feel like they could have done so much more with this game after Sun and Moon. Oh well...

Delightful game! I feel transported to Alola when I play. I always play Pokemon games many times through, and this remake makes it even more fun than usual to play through the Alola region again. I chose Ultra Moon this time, and had played Sun last year. I think Im spending even more time playing this version through!

Okay, so let me start by saying that if you own Pokemon Sun/Moon, then Ultra Sun/Moon doesnt have much more to offer. There are a few changes that does help a lot, and that includes seeing Pokemon out in the wild just living their peaceful lives while you go about your adventure. The changes in the story make things feel a bit fresher, and the post game story feels a bit simple, but its quite fun going through the Rainbow Rockets, whom are actually pretty tough, and quite funny to read their dialogues. Giovanni is a true badass though, but sadly that story is left inconclusive. There are other additions like buildings that were under construction in Sun/Moon, are now Picture Clubs or Surf Shacks in Ultra Sun.Moon. The Mantine surfing is also fun, to a certain degree, though it is hard to unlock new moves for higher scores. Overall, I do not like the game, but I do not dislike it either. I would, however, recommend it to someone that has not played the original Sun/Moon games, or to someone that really loves the franchise.

Delivery was faster than it said and the game is awesome but mostly because this gen has my favorite Pokémon pull!

I love pokemon been playing it for years. This is my least favorite of them all. I really dislike the camera angles, trying to make it a 3d world. I rather have a view from above angle like the older games even if it was a mix like X and Y. Its so disorienting. Also not a huge fan of the Hawaiian theme. Its too cutesy for my tastes. I also dont like the island challenges vs calling them gym leaders. I do love the starter pokemon and I do like the changing outfits thing and the battles are great with animations. 3 stars.

The game itself runs on a US 3ds but it is the world release version which can be found cheaper on amazon. Im keeping the game but I now have to go and order a second hand case that is the North American version to match the rest of my games.

Ive only been playing the game for a couple hours but the new editions to the game are immediately noticeable. A few new places to check out, new but old Pokemon to catch and some additions to the story. I dont want to go into too much detail because this is something any Pokemon fan or gamer should just get and play! Im enjoying it so far.

The game came in a sealed package and works fine luckily, but it was the UAE World Edition when I specifically bought the US version
