> 24 hourI first purchased some Pyle outdoor speakers to replace some blown Polk Atrium 45s. The Polks lasted several years until my youngin cranked them to max volume for a party. I was excited by the lower price of the Pyles and I had thought Pyle was a good name. That image went away immediately upon attempted installation. The thumb screws that anchor the speaker to its own bracket were too long and bottomed out in their tapped hole inserts before the bracket was snug against the speaker. To make matters worse, when I tightened the thumb screw, it bound up and could not be removed from the now freely spinning insert. I did hook up the stereo to hear the sound quality. I would say it was sub par and not worth my time reworking the thumb screw design. I returned the speakers and promptly purchased the Polk Atrium 6s. Definitely a different price point, but what a difference. I could have purchased the Atrium 4s that were closer in level to the 45s, but I decided to upgrade. The sound is tremendous in the Polks and the fit and finish are by far better than the Pyles. I would have no problem recommending the Polks to anyone.

> 24 hourReplaced a pair of Bose 151 and a pair of Atrium 5s with 2 pairs of Atrium 6s. Talk about an improvement in sound, especially the low end. Really great speakers

> 24 hourI have a 7.1 Polk system in my living room, including Polk Monitor 70s, and I wanted to bring the same sound quality outside. The Atrium 6 was just was I needed. Clear with nice bass response at low levels and concert grade sound when cranking up the volume during parties. I am powering the Atrium 6 with a Onkyo TX-nr608 on Zone 2 @ 100 watts/channel. I have the speakers on my open patio mounted 9 feet up. The mounting was so easy, mark two level holes, screw mount to wall and speakers slide into mount and click into place, you can adjust with ease.

> 24 hourDidnt expect much from outdoor speakers but these have surpassed my expectations, can play loud, bass is good for the size, and never get distortion at high volumes. Mounting options will fit ceiling or wall mount, there on the large size so make sure to measure and attach bracket directly to studs or brick.

> 24 hourPurchased these for outside in the garage and they sound great! Adequate bass but for more umph a sub would be advised. I have a sub attached when I want/need more boom. Love the fact you can directionally adjust these simply and easily.

> 24 hourreplaced my outdoor JBL speakers with these. The sound is excellent, wide range to cover 30x20 foot patio, good highs, and ok bass but that is expected from a speaker of this size. I have these paired with a subwoofer and it sounds amazing. I would say this sound is just as good as a Sonos set up but at half the price. Would consider these indoors to replace speakers down the line.

> 24 hourIm a little disappointed with the Polk Atrium 6 indoor/outdoor speakers bass performance. I mounted these speakers close under my patio eaves (with one speaker in a corner as well) to improve bass performance according to the instructions, but I must say the bass performance on these speakers is mediocre at best--although what can one realistically expect from a 6 woofer in a small cabinet. Other than that, I like the speakers and the mounting hardware design. They were very easy to install and give decent coverage for my patio/pool area. Another minor issue I have with these speakers is how to remove the grill cover without damaging the grill or enclosure. The instructions say to use a paper clip through one of the grill hole openings to remove the grill cover, but all that did for me was bend the paper clip even more so Im not sure how one can remove the grill cover, if and when it becomes necessary, without damaging the grill or plastic enclosure.
