> 3 dayThis unit is needed for wall-mounted TVs, monitors, etc. to be code-compliant, but also provides a finished-looking installation. It is a nice product, and easy to install. The two-plug unit hides behind your TV, and the smaller one sits directly below and resembles a normal electrical receptacle. The lower unit must be connected to an existing receptacle or cable by the (included) grounded cable. The in-wall power cables and connectors between the two wall units are heavy-duty, with very solid connectors. The clamping mechanisms for the wall units are very clever -- simple, solid, foolproof, and usable with pretty much any panel-type wall (drywall, paneling, etc.). The instructions are very clear, and tracing templates are included for the wall cutouts. The cables pass through a comb on each end that hides everything behind the housing. I ran two HDMI cables, a two-conductor RCA audio cable, and a network cable through this in addition to the power connector, with room to spare. Highly recommended.

> 3 dayHaving the whole system already put together is genius and worth the extra $10...cut 2 holes, drop wires, tighten screws...DONE!

> 3 dayThis is the best invention ever for tech savvy DIYers! I installed this in a few hours and could not be happier. Just be careful when cutting out the drywall and check for obstacles behind the wall when possible. I did find some electrical in the same area where I installed this PowerBridge, so I had to cut very carefully. I would also make sure you have all your AV cables ahead of time and that they are long enough because diverting all your cables through the wall does eat up some of the length. It looks like it will be inconvenient to add a new HDMI/etc. after installation, so if you think for one second you could use another foot on your cables in your current set-up, definitely spring for longer AV cables when you buy this PowerBridge! I bought a longer optical cable for my soundbar, but wish I purchased a longer HDMI. Learn from my mistake!!

> 3 dayWorks well. Cable pass through could be a bit larger. The power connector sits right behind the pass through making it somewhat difficult to get multiple cables up to the TV. Worked as expected though. No complaints. Im not sure how people are breaking the anchor clip though. Theyre probably tightening it too much. Mine worked just fine. You only need to tighten it until the plate is flush to the wall no more.

> 3 dayInstalled this for a new 65 flatscreen I mounted to the wall and didnt want visible wires running down the wall. I originally planned to call an electrician to install a the wall outlet but decided on this product because it doesnt require electrical work. 2 wasy cut outs of drywall (outlet and connector), install outlet first, run the included device wires behind the wall down to the connector outlet, then plug in the bridge to nearby outlet (on other side of stud) and thats all. Work wonderfully.

> 3 dayI had to buy a sheet rock saw, $6 at Wal-mart, but this was easy to install and did a great job. I would recommend checking your wall for firebreaks, thats a horizontal 2x4 in your wall. When I went to install this everything was going great until I went to thread the cable through the wall and ran into a firebreak, (horizontal 2x4) impeding me from threading the wires through the wall. I ended up having to cut the sheet rock out, cutting a hole in the fire break, and reinstalling the sheet rock with putty, and paint. Most inner walls dont have firebreaks, but its best to use a stud finder, (not your girlfriend), to examine the wall both left to right to find the studs, but also up and down to look for firebreaks or pipes in the wall that might make this not work. It was really easy to install other than the fire break.

> 3 dayAre you an electrician? No problem, you dont have to be or even be knowledgeable about electrical. Very simple installation. This is coming from someone who isnt that handy. In lieu of installing an outlet behind the TV, this product allows you to get power from an existing outlet on the bottom of the wall. It serve much like an extension cord. Im going to summarize how to install this product, but if you like a visual aid, then there is a youtube clip about the installation. First, decide the general area where to put the upper (female) box behind the TV. Locate the wall studs (with stud finder), so that you can install the boxes between them. Cut the two holes in the drywall using the template provided. After that, its simply insert and connect. You can also run any video/audio cables too. Voila!! A very clean look with no electrical wiring and no bulging tracks.

> 3 dayIf youre handy it will be a breeze. All parts are high quality. Dont over tighten the outlet holding tabs. They were highly functional and make the outlets hug the drywall from the inside for a tight snug but if you dont understand their function you could really screw up and make youre more complicated. Dont forget to release them before you push the box in the hole then push the screws in and tighten slowly as you feel the outlet box snug to the drywall. They worked great for me. Install was about an hour. BIG TIP.... add an extra string or flexible wire to your pull throughs in case you add something else that needs wires hidden. I used a long not working cellphone charger cord and made loops at each end. Couldnt be happier with this product.
