President Electronics New Virginia (Formerly Called New York UP) Magnetic Mount CB Radio Antenna

The cord was too short to mount at the rear roof of my SUV, so I had to order a PL-259 Male to SO-239 Female cord to wire up the CB at the front. SWR at Ch 1 is around 1, 1.5 at Ch 40, and around 1 at Ch 19. Connections at PL259/SO239 are snug without issues. Receive seems good so far, but very condition dependent. I ran my usual course in the city where I do my GMRS tests and got the typical 1/2 mile to 1 mile range Ive read from other reviews. Ill reserve judgment on range until after I get some interstate miles on this one. I mounted the antenna at the back right corner of my Jeep Liberty. The magnet is very strong and can be difficult to remove, but thats a good thing. I was worried about how loose the antenna might be at the swivel point, but there are rigid lock points that hopefully wont wear out over time. The height should be fine, but I am going to watch it around low limbs and parking garages. Im satisfied so far, except for the cable length issue.

I was looking for an antenna that didn’t look out of place on my equinox. This antenna doesn’t draw attention and gets descent reception

What I like...everything about it! Its stealth and it matches my FM/AM antenna. Its easy to install. It looks modern and misses my garage door by 1. Its flat SWR across CB 40 channels and usable on 10 meters using the internal antenna tuner in my G90. I just got a 5/9 from a German station while on the parkway during the 10 meter contest running 20W. On CB its great on receive and transmit. Love it. I think it requires a good ground plane IE smack in the middle of the roof. Thank you President Electronics.

Looks like a standard car antenna on my Honda Fit. If the cable were a foot or so longer it would have gotten 5 stars

Does not fit my Midland CB.

The only complaint is the cable is to short. Installed on the roof of an 2006 Toyota Tundra

Easy to install and no tuning. Love it!!

Im only giving 5 stars because it is exactly what it says it is, and does exactly what it says it will do. Its a good working antenna. Its not the best one ever made, but anyone looking for a cosmetically pleasing and good working antenna, this is it. There is no tuning available on this but overall as low swr. It makes it quick to install and get you transmitting.

This antenna has a super magnet an works great on the roof of my pickup truck. I park my truck under a carport and height is an issue. I put it on and have left it for about 5 months with no issues. I also purchased it with my President CB radio which extended the warranty of the radio to 5-years. Cant beat that.

Didnt work, sent it back. It wouldnt let me post without giving it at least one star. It wasnt my choice to give it any star.
